Financial benefits (to the patient, not just the pharmaceutical company) are routinely taken into account with medicine. ADHD drugs, for example, wouldn't exist otherwise. The word for what Nazi Germany was doing is fascism. It was explicitly opposed to socialism. Like, as a core tenet of the ideology.
