They are. I think it is as sad as you do. I was told for 43 years that weight didn't matter, that people would judge me on accomplishment and character, but thats not really true. For most people, physical appearance is at least as important a factor. The way people treat me now is drastically different to how I was treated before. All that changed was my appearance.
