They're told to do that because otherwise refs are hit and miss when they call penalties unless they flop. It def ruins aspects, but that's a separate issue from people not wanting to watch, in as much demand, a less skilled division. Yes, it's advertisements that determine pay, but like the other guy said, why is an advertiser going to pay the same for a fraction of the same generated value?

Justice served =/= good. It is *objectively* bad to kill someone, we only resort to it when we believe that person has committed a crime that they cannot come back from. If someone rapes 200 kids and they get the death penalty, it isn't *good* that they're being killed, it's a sad requirement that the justice system feels is needed. We celebrate that someone that evil isn't with us anymore, but it doesn't turn a killing from a negative to a positive. It's like when your dog gets old and is i…

Well, and this is the only part I'll comment on, killing is always bad. It can be necessary if it's you or them, but it's never good to kill anyone.

Yes, that idea in and of itself is insane. But what does that mentality of "I wasted my youth but I'd like to have a kid, not "WHO WANTS TO CUM IN ME ONLY ACCEPTING 6'+ 6 FIGURES" have to do with her asking "Where'd my youth go??! Where are the men!?!?" This isn't WAATGM, this is "You're too old to have kids" that's the ONLY issue people are having, she's not asking where all the good ones are or expecting perfection, she's simply asking for a partner

So normally I'm with most of you that comment, but why is this here? Maybe the well traveled was a bit far, but she only put hobbies and her goals on there. If I was on Tinder wanting a partner, I'd probably put something about wanting someone "cool and laid back" in the same way she put "looking to meet someone amazing." She wants kids, yall are hating someone that simply wants to have children. Yeah, it probably won't happen, but why hate on someone for wanting children? This isn't WAATG…

Chipping in with maybe a less toxic way of phrasing. It's not that she can't. This sub isn't for making fun of people that are content living their lives if they chose to not have a family or if they chose a career, etc. It's the complaining or self entitlement that rubs people the wrong way. If she wanted to focus on her career instead of a partner or family, that's fine. She's a human and she's allowed to make her choices and pursue happiness, but she also has to live with the outcomes of …

Just walk up to her and ask to speak in private. It'll show that you're confident enough to talk to whoever you need to talk to, and if she makes a big deal about it then you know she wasn't worth it in the first place. Don't act entitled to her time, but don't be a wimp about it. She's just a person, you're overthinking it. High school was the same for me and I wish I took the "just do it" advice to heart cause literally nothing from even 4 years ago matters anymore and no one in high school I …

I do housekeeping stuff for my friends pretty often for free. I don't like trading money (as we're friends, it shouldn't come down to payment), so I do that for them and if I ever need anything they have my back.

For real though, I would probably be a maid (the male eqivalent if there's a different name) for pretty cheap. I love doing housework... Just not at my house. I feel like if I have to live in it, I don't care as much, but I love to impress other people at what they could have. Sucks no hospitality and housekeeping business will hire me though. I'd quit McDonald's in a heartbeat to do (pretty much) anything else.

Wow. A slap was too far. She's gonna get no lasting damage, is getting sympathy from peers, and having someone admit she was wrong, but is still somehow a victim. There is no "reciprocal level of power" in self defense. Laws in america state (not verbatim but what will be upheld by enforcement) is "the use of force necessary to protect oneself." If a woman (or weaker man) punches me in the face as hard as they can then I do the same, it's warranted. If you're weaker than someone else and start a…

So the man, most likely not being the best in self defense (not knowing holds and more knowing how to defend oneself from getting hurt and most likely using it against men) perhaps isn't "confident in deescalating a situation." He probably knows the basics of self defense and, as such, used his knowledge to neutralize a threat. He had his arm around the back of her head so she definitely didn't slam it into the ground, just into the back of his arm. While she may have a concussion, I seriously d…

Well, WE can objectively see that this woman is not an immediate threat to this cop. Him, however, cannot. He's focused on detaining the other woman and is pushed from behind, the other cop backs her off, she comes back, he instinctively takes her down. He doesn't know if she's a threat until after the take down. That's the problem with watching videos of cops having to detain people. WE can see what they can't, and somehow, when they're in the moment and don't see half the stuff we do, they get…

I would argue lying is a mistake, but that's just personal semantics. Also, that's cool the test is cheap and buyable with cash.
/r/MensRights28/01/17 03:14 AM

So a test costs money, and from what I looked up, it costs anywhere from 300-500 dollars for the test. Not only this, but you have to cover mail, obtaining sample, and yada yada yada. These extra costs don't interest me as much. How exactly do you hide 300-500 dollars from a spouse that you very likely share, or at least view, balanced and accounts together? This isn't like going to walmart, spending 20 bucks, and swabbing yours and you child's mouths. This is a big investment and also sends you…

Would she not be on the hook for fraud? Your analogy goes along with what most people in this thread are saying: He shouldn't have to pay because he found out (you would have to repay all the money you owe) and he could sue for fraud (the landlord being able to sue you for fraud).
/r/MensRights27/01/17 10:45 PM

Well, I've been sexually assaulted (not raped) and I would probably have that happen again before I let someone betray my love, knowingly let me father a child that isn't mine, let me get attached to them, and then rip my heart out with the news that child I thought was mine is someone else's. I wouldn't hate the child, they did nothing wrong, but I would definitely just leave them both and would like to not have to be reminded monthly (or more often) that the child didn't come from me. The stat…

Well this man hadn't had reason to suspect until 3 years in. Suspect doesn't just pop up once you have a kid. Let's say you did cheat your landlord after 3-4 years of paying cash and they hadn't counted after the first year because they thought they could trust you. Later, they find youd been deceiving them 25% per payment for a year. Are they not allowed to come after you? Kick you out? Have suspicion?
/r/MensRights27/01/17 09:04 PM

Isn't this just getting into semantics? Fathers on this sub (and mothers) would gladly be put through traumatic spots to have their child be safe and sound, while people that have been raped would do anything to not have that happen. Let's just stop now. Its all subjective and anecdotal.

I banned for saying this on a post regarding domestic violence, but the study was weirdly complicated. Before I say anything, I don't disagree with your post. There is an,extreme problem in the world, and studies show this. Can I, however, have someone explain this study to me? I don't know if it's anti-LGBT as much as it's disliking how much is being mandated for the LGBT community while they're under a percent of the population, and at the same time disregarding male problems when men in America are a much larger group. There's no way I'm arguing that people on this thread aren't anti-LGBT, because I'm certain there are people in here like that, but I believe it to be a feeling of being a majority/right under majority and being ignored equality while other mandates s…

I agree. There's no way that's a law. It's probably just a policy at a place of work and it probably stipulates being told prior.

But... But I can assume with ~98% accuracy. I'd say since pronouns aren't oppressing anyone (no laws preventing them from power, stopping them from taking certain jobs, etc) that the minority should have to state their pronouns rather than the extreme exetreeeme majority.

Except they are limiting freedom of speech, little by little, by telling everyone what is an acceptable thing to say. If the trans population was over 1% (currently 0.6% of GLOBAL population) I could understand, but people, only recently, started stating they were transgender, as well as having many people jump on that band wagon (called transtrenders) just to get attention. It isn't hard to have a situation where you simply correct someone, as anyone that cares about anyone besides themselves w…

Exactly. Everything is a choice and everyone has to deal with the consequences of each choice. Personally, I don't want kids (I'm sure a lot of people on Reddit and elsewhere are relieved at that), and so I'll take the stigma of not having children, while at the same time saving tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, and be able to do what I want.

And that's a personal choice they take, and as such, they make the choice of earning less. You can also argue it isn't a choice, but it is. Family, friends, nanny, babsitters, etc can all be called in to help raise a child even if they're a single parent, especially if they are.

You then got into this loop of "I didn't say I said not to talk to me." "Don't talk to me." Repeat. Those 2 things haven't a link together Actually they do. What is there to debate? Not all people are the same. You can't say "Just use another medicine if this doesn't work for you," because there ARE still categories of medicine, and some are more limited. Not to mention not all reactions are the same. Good for you, you don't have periods or pain or blood. Who the fuck cares? Not everyone is so lucky. I did read it, that's why I suggested you calm down. And to restate what someone else said, you're in a forum, not a PM. You have the capability to send them a message instead of posting to the thread. What you put up is fair game for people to have opinions on. If you don't like being able to be messaged from what you write, I suggest Tumblr. They accept the triggered and easily baitable, like yourself, with open arms.
