If you want to try non-monogamy why wouldn’t you just communicate this with your current partner? If they don’t accept it and you still want to do it, you guys aren’t compatible and should break up. The fact that you’re asking whether it’s cheating should be enough to ring bells in your brain that it perhaps isn’t a good idea. The least you should do is let your partner know so you don’t waste his time if he’s not interested.

I like the discussions and studies, I just wish it was more purple pill and less skewed towards incels, losers and redpillers.

So many of the memes just seem like the grossest generalisations I’ve ever seen.

My bad. Personally found it a bit contradicting but no worries. Glad we’re on the same page.

I suppose my question would be, what do you mean by being ‘against’ open relationships. I ask because I personally am against open relationships for myself, because I just don’t want to be in an open relationship and expect my partner to be the same. If not, we’re not compatible and I leave. But I don’t have any issues with other people being in an open relationship if both parties agree to it. I don’t see why I have any reason to interfere in other people’s relationship preferences if it only a…

I don’t believe people care about n count as much as they say. Unlike height and weight, n count isn’t visible. You can date someone who has perfect value matches, personality, physical looks etc. that has an undesirable n count. Most people that say they care about n count will not immediately turn down a partner that is perfect in every other way. That’s why I don’t believe men and women actually care about n count. Especially the men and women that are really desperate. They will overlook an …

Yeah you might be right about that. But that only means that they would be better off with one night stands and the like. Which is what they can easily do because men are so desperate.

I'm sure if they wanted they could get a long fulfilling relationship. There's definitely men out there nice enough and desperate enough. The reason they don't have a long term relationship is typically because they don't want one. For them it's less of a meaningless relationship bounce and more of a low commitment, ultimate entertainment kind of bounce.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 11:56 AM
1

Right you are. Which will only help increase the amount of desperation that men have as well as decrease their standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 02:50 AM

From what I've seen, women that sleep around don't have any trouble pulling "high value men" because for one men are so desperate and secondly, if a woman has slept around that much, it's likely because she's attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 02:49 AM
0

That's the thing. I think most of the people that really genuinely care about n count are likely to be lacking in options. I just can't see anything beyond these people just trying to place standards to bring down women that sleep around.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/22 02:46 AM

I understand where you’re coming from. I’m sure if you randomly went up to people they would say they care. But I still don’t believe it myself. Like, if these people that say they care about n count, met someone that was attractive, had a good personality, matched values and views, but had an undesirable n count (whether that’s too high or too low), they would very likely date this person anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 06:54 AM

This is more just wishful thinking at best. There are guys that are so desperate that will always be available for women. Honestly, outside niche groups like this, most men and women don’t really give a fuck about n count.

If it’s impossible to achieve the glamorous and more importantly, consistent happy life that everyone seems to be having, the idea of life being pointless grows in your head. People usually don’t share when they’re sad, down, or even feeling neutral on social media. Hence the unrealistic expectations. All these issues are worse on child with a growing mind and raging hormones. In this instance, I’m grateful I grew up a guy very disinterested in social media.

To be fair, if someone doesn’t like partying what would be the off-chance that the ideal partner would enjoy partying?

Hey could you expand on what you mean by secure attachment style? Like how do you know whether someone has a secure attachment style? I don’t really even think I know what that means.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/22 11:15 PM
2

Honestly the question of whether you’d be happy your son/daughter dated someone like you is really great at bringing self-awareness as you said. But what’s the next step. Me for example, I wouldn’t be happy if my daughter brought someone like me home because I’m lacking in confidence and excellent social skills. Cool, I know I’m an insecure bitch. What do I do about that?

Honestly I don’t know why so many people care about FDS. Women like these will never get into relationships. Especially with smart (and non-desperate) men that stay vigilant about women like this. I’m honestly glad I’m seeing this. Just gives me another thing to drop in a conversation with a woman to see whether her reaction is a red flag that she believes this shit.

I’d have to agree. Indian here as well (arranged marriages are pretty common with us lmao) but the reason arranged marriages last longer is almost always because of religious or cultural pressure not to divorce. The idea of divorce is looked down upon a lot more.

This would only be applicable if sex wasn’t valued so highly by virgins as well. If virgins can deem sex as such a primary and high valued goal then I can also value it as not that big of a deal. I desire a lasting relationship with companionship over casual sex or regular sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/21 01:57 AM
1

You’re right I didn’t. But would that not disprove your original point in this situation? I don’t value sex highly regardless of whether I did or didn’t have access to it.

I’m assuming as time goes on less people will be into partying and drinking.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 08:01 AM

Oof idk man. I feel like it’d be a waste of time. I despise drinking, nightclubs, parties and that’s all the types of people that I can see. I’m sure if I joined a club or something I could find people less so like that.

My social skills are pretty good if I’m comfortable around someone and they’re especially good if it’s a one-on-one vs a group sort of thing unless I’m in a group. I know I should work a bit on dating skills but at this age I don’t know where to find the women that are my type. I’ll work on it though.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 07:30 AM

That’s my mistake. I think I understand what you mean. Sorry about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 07:28 AM

Perhaps my opinion will change as time goes on. But it would feel way too uncomfortable to force it now. I honestly just want to get through my career and hopefully find a real LTR and settle down to have a family as early as possible. That’s my goal.

2

I was afraid at some point someone would think as you do. I’m not lying or trying to be manly or trying to be “not like other guys” or whatever when I say I don’t care much for sex. Unfortunately you can assume as you choose and there’d be absolutely no way for me to prove you different. Maybe I’ve misunderstood what you’ve said so if I have you might need to elaborate.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 07:10 AM

I can understand the trouble you might be going to. Society seems to push you one way that's opposite of what you personally feel. I don't deal with the same issue because I frankly don't spend much time on social media. I'm also young and it's usually young people that can be the most influenced by ideologies. When it comes to you, stick to your guns, stick to your standards and your opinions depending on what new things you learn. Eventually the way you are will set in stone.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 05:08 AM

I’m sorry to hear that man. Hope you’re doing alright. I’m 19 and a virgin but I never felt any strong desire for casual sex. At least with your perspective I guess I can ascertain that it isn’t anything to do with age.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 02:42 AM
3

I might be wrong but I’m assuming you’re suggesting that I don’t value sex much because it’s easy to come by? For the record I’m a virgin and have never had a gf. I can understand your point but I don’t believe it applies to me in this circumstance.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 02:06 AM

Neither can I man. I appreciate the perspective nonetheless though.

From my point of view, this sub has a lot of guys that set sex as the end goal. I assumed that under the cover of anonymity, guys online would admit that they want lasting relationships if what you’re saying is true. It could still be a possibility but I’ve had plenty of friends that are dudes and they act the same way.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/21 12:36 AM
4

What are you disagreeing on? I was saying that most men set sex as the end goal but I personally don’t. Aren’t we on the same page? Apart from my opinion of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 01:41 PM
6

I can see your point but I’m 19. So I guess I’m on the end of puberty. Although even when I was younger I never cared much for sex because good old “right hand” was enough for me. Someone else made a point that I might have low testosterone so it could be that. It could also be true that most people here are likely desperate for sex too like you say. I have no way to prove anything so idk.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 01:40 PM
6

Yeah that’s also a possibility. Like I said, I do feel out of place here.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 01:37 PM

I know it might be an unpopular opinion but I’ve never seen sex with women as the end goal. I’m not even desperate for sex. Sure sex is great but I see it more as a side goal with the main goal being that I get close companionship, honesty and all the other benefits out of a stable relationship. Sometimes I feel so out of place because it seems like so many guys just focus on getting sex or sex being the final end goal. Maybe I have a low sex drive or something.

You know the stories part never really came up in my mind. There are times where I struggle to get the conversation going too so I can totally see stories being used to break the ice a bit and let women know what I’m like. I’ve never been in a long term relationship so I never would’ve picked up on the “splitting what you say into different sections” thing. Thanks a lot for the help my man. I’ll be sure to incorporate some of this into my daily life when I can.

I don’t know man. I’ve heard lots of people say that it’s a good idea to open up to women but looking around at other guys, it looks like all the guys are the types of guys to not open up about their emotions. They do pretty well. I always assumed women just say they want men that are emotional to seem like PC or whatever but in reality find buff, stoic men attractive. Even if I put myself in a woman’s shoes, I wouldn’t find a guy breaking down in tears in front of me attractive.

Damn, the way you describe it, it’s as if love just lasts forever in a relationship. Honestly I’d assumed after a while the love fades away and most couples just stay together for the practicality.

I really love your message honestly. I have a question. How would I go about valuing myself as highly as possible without seeming arrogant? I feel like I subconsciously lower my value to seem modest and not like a brag or show off.

That was a very interesting read. I do wonder how much experience you have with Red Pill men as a lot of these comparisons are based off experience but you said you barely went on a second date. Based on that experience, some of these comparisons might be much different if they happened IRL. Still, that point you made about you having morning sickness and how your husband would help you out and you’d do the same for him was one that really was nice to hear. I don’t think a man that embodies Red …

I have a friend who’s parents are like that and they’re doing great. The dad is a firefighter who tends to vote left because public sector is typically treated better under left parties and the mum votes right just because that’s where her values lie. It is quite out of the ordinary but they get along well by having other passions in common. As well as the fact that they have children so they both take that responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 01:47 PM

Yup. Grown women also have brains and can think logically. If they choose to do porn or OF or whatever, they aren’t being exploited.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 01:07 AM

It’s not predatory. Grown men have brains and are able to make logical, reasonable, and responsible decisions in life. If they’re making decisions to fall into the bullshit that is OF that’s on them, not the platforms or the women. I’m sick of hearing people act like men don’t have a brain and need to be treated like children. If you’re over 18, you are responsible for your actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 02:29 AM

Oh what a relief, I don’t want a top tier woman anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/21 01:17 PM
2

I personally believe it’s totally reasonable to do that. The best relationships are ones where values and beliefs are shared. Otherwise there can be conflict. Another thing being that if you decided to take it proper long term and get married and have kids, you’d want to be on the same page in what values you teach those kids. No doubt, a liberal would raise their children with different values to a conservative.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 11:14 PM
2

What would you suggest men to do to prevent this sort of thing from happening? Although I assume you’d probably talk to the guy about the issue before breaking it off right? So I guess the solution as a guy is to be understanding but I wonder if there’s anything a guy could do beforehand.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 11:11 PM

Cmon man, you have to admit this Michael dude sounds a tad too obsessed with other people having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 01:26 PM

One thing I’d like to note is that, the only reason on the surface it seems like women all just like partying and shit in University is because the ones that aren’t into partying simply aren’t the ones that are in the forefront. They might be in the library reading or in their room doing whatever. Point being, you only see the partying girls because their entertainment comes from activities typically extroverted.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 01:23 PM
1

I thought that could be the case but I wasn’t sure. I feel very comfortable around people when I know them very well. Otherwise not a huge fan of social interaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 09:50 PM
2

Yeah that’s weird to me. I don’t see any reason why steroids should be on the same level as heroin.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 01:32 PM
1

I don’t even know what the fuck I am anymore. Introvert, extrovert. I seem to be pretty averse to going out and talking to people so you’d think “okay this guy isn’t an extrovert” but when I’m by myself at home I get so goddamn lonely so I guess I’m not an introvert either.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 01:24 PM
1

If everyone looked the same then wouldn’t what is considered “hot” not really be valued all that much? Maybe instead in terms of physical attractiveness people would go for other people that stand out?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 01:00 PM
1

Why would the government care if short guys turn into tall guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 12:58 PM
3

That’s up to the women. You or me don’t have any right to tell them what to do. Of course if they find it difficult to get married later in life then that’s on them. But not every woman is the same, there are women out there that aren’t into fuckbois, they’re just not that visible because they’re not in the forefront but rather in the background. It wouldn’t be right to generalise all women the same way it wouldn’t be right to generalise all men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 04:43 AM
3

On the bright side at least they care about their daughter. The double standards are real though.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/21 04:40 AM

What I don’t understand is if so many men hate the fuckbois destroying the sexual market place why would they want to become one? It seems hypocritical to me personally.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 11:24 PM
2

If it makes any difference. I’m not a huge fan of RP treating women like utter garbage and I’d hope if I had a daughter that she wouldn’t date someone that is a RP man or their description of “alpha” male.

To think a majority women would choose to kick the man (who can provide a huge amount of support) out for no good reason is ignorance as far as the eye can see. Either way the man is typically the one out of the woman and children's life because most of the time they don't want to take up the responsibility of taking care of kids. The woman has to take that up which is why single motherhood rates are so high and not single fatherhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 10:41 PM

Even if that were the case, you think the women kick the man out for no reason?

I’ve heard the porn industry is pretty notorious for sex trafficking. Maybe not a reason to perma-ban, instead some more regulation would be good but porn isn’t completely void of issues.

Ohhhhhh I see. Absolutely my mistake then I apologise. This whole discussion was off my wrongful presupposition that you were saying all men want sex and all women want money. I completely agree. Any man that believes that all women are good for is sex, he should also believe all men are good for is money. I should’ve clarified exactly what your position was as well as my own. I apologise.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 04:12 AM

That sounds horrible. It may just be a case of where you live then. I grew up a pretty average life, never in the hood or anything so I never saw anything of the sort that you described. No doubt that sort of thing would be burned into your head.

Fair point. I still believe the chances are insanely low to meet up with a guy like this. Even after that the chances are even lower that he knocks your taser or pepper spray out of your hand. Then there's the chances of him actually being able to do anything without others seeing and stopping him. With all these combined, it just seems like the chances are way too low compared to the amount of guys that may approach you that really aren't threatening. Regardless if keeping your guard up makes y…

Every other post on this is sub is about how women are worthless and only good for sex. Am I supposed to be mad about this woman who wants to fleece you? If all women are good for is sex all men are good for is money. I went off of this comment you made. I see. I think I can see where you’re coming from then but I feel you’re too hard on it. I’ll agree there were relationships back in the day that did only care about sex and money but there were plenty of relationships that also cared about all the things I mentioned in a relationship (partnership, sharing of value and experiences etc) that also happen today. I think it depends what you call traditional because there might be a mismatch in timelines. If you’re talking about the last 100 years or…

You're right that's my mistake, I've had a quick look through my replies and none of them mention the innocent woman first. I still don't see why that matters. I've mentioned both men and women equally. If it's so much of a problem to you do you want me to change it? I really don't mind, I don't see this as much merit to the discussion but if it pleases you that's fine by me. First of all, you should stop strawmanning my argument. Why are you even bringing traditional relationships into this? Can we stick to just modern day relationships? Some modern day relationships are similar to prostitution. Some modern day relationships are actual relationships that care more about sex and money, like love, partnership, friendship, sharing values, sharing experiences, working together to equalise each other’s weaknesses etc. Those are relationships. Love may be overrated to you but I refuse to accept women think as a monolith. It’s …

I do tell bad men to stop using innocent women. I despise men that go around using women just for sex. I try to stay consistent with my beliefs. You might not see that because I only just recently found this subreddit and found the level headed discussions from different sides interesting. I’m not concerned about the one women vs thousands of men. I’m concerned about the precedent this sets. It’s bad enough so many men don’t care about women beyond their physical qualities, I don’t want women to…

Yeah I understand your point, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t just keep a weapon on you (pocket knife, pepper spray etc) and then not stress so much about strangers. If someone approaches you saying you look attractive and you have a weapon on you, there’s not much need to keep your guard up. At least if I was in a woman’s shoes that’s how I’d react.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:20 AM

That’s what I’m saying. The actual statistical chances of coming across someone like this are surely so minimal. There’s plenty of thing people do that have a higher chance of resulting in death that people don’t at all care about.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:17 AM

If life was just about sex and money then they wouldn’t have kids. Kids are a financial drain. You need to care about more than just sex and money if you’re willing to have kids. Kids don’t give you sex (unless you’re truly fucked in the head) and they don’t give you money (unless you turn them into workers). Most first world countries nowadays don’t allow women to be bought from the father. We’re talking about parents in the modern day.

You’re going to have to elaborate your point because I don’t understand. Look, I don’t want you to see me as an enemy. I’m not trying to claim any moral high ground. Simply trying to have a discussion about why I as an individual see this mentality as wrong. Assuming that men want women only for sex and women only want men for money doesn’t help anyone, even the ones that take advantage of others because their relationships typically turn to be utter garbage. Unless the man is a toxic asshole. I’d prefer the toxic ones match with the toxic ones and both are removed out of the love market. For the sake of everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 12:12 AM
1

That’s not the point I was trying to make. Maybe some modern day relationships are just prostitution but a relationship and prostitution aren’t the same and they shouldn’t be the same. There’s more to relationships than just sex and money and the ones that solely focus on that aren’t relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 12:03 AM

I understand that point but I’m sure on a statistical level the chances of finding a guy like that are about as small as dying due to a drunk driver. I’ve literally never heard a woman be dismembered. The insanely large majority of relationships, the worst they go through is verbal fights.

Every man and every woman is an individual. Just because you see posts here about men saying women are only good for sex doesn’t mean every man agrees with that, likewise I would be an idiot to assume every woman thinks a man is only useful for money. You shouldn’t agree with something that generalises a viewpoint to the population and then treat that population according to the generalisation you made. Neither is valid. The other commenter said sex is one sided since most women are never properly satisfied like men are. Let’s say that women do get the same benefits as a man in sex, when it comes to spending money, a man wouldn’t be spending money unless he’s getting some sort of value. Whether that value be the time he gets to spend with the girl, the happiness he feels of not being alone etc. If spending was one sided then men wouldn’t do it. My point is that neither is valid because if you’r…

The chances of a woman getting dismembered by a random guy are pretty small. Or at least that’s what I assume so since I’ve never ever heard anyone do it, and I’ve seen so many couples with men not having done that.

Yeah fair point. I assume most men would do the same. Still, you could find a woman that’s ugly but you’re drawn to her by a great personality that really connects with you.
