Fraternities are worth the sum of their members. Members are also revenue streams that go towards improving the house, throwing bigger parties, doing things more legitimately etc. Fraternity members ideally must recruit 24/7 to bring the most benefit to their organization. Be flattered but know they want you to join to help create something bigger. It's an amazing experience I'd still recommend - it I know a lot of people who join late and still make the most out of it.
