I did the same thing - was curious if they had adopted the desire to be "chef in the kitchen, slut in the sheets" mindset but, sadly, no. Seems with married women, as we know, they're survival instinct forces them to just think emotionally about their own well being in the moment. Overall i feel like they are lacking the desire to grow into what their husbands want, which in effect, provides security. I guess the 70s hit too hard.

You hit it right. Everything in life is about negotiation, and it's always better to have the upper hand. Be the catch the you should be, let others line up for you, and let her see the line. Then you'll know if she is worth keeping or not, because she'll make that decision for you by falling in place.

Great post, anger is exactly how I respond rather than STFU. Then I try to rationalize and explain. Some small part of that has been beneficial, but only from within a leadership frame of this is how things are. But explaining is ALWAYS a disaster in the heat of her shot tests. I've failed enough of those on this path. I'm getting better, and posts like this help remind me of the correct frame. Thanks

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
