I don't know the research or how long ago it was, but being a lesbian hasn't always been easy. There was a joke on "the L word" years ago (decades maybe wow) about how lesbians move in together after the first date.

I have a feeling that the best solution is in the middle but I wonder if there is even a middle? You would be surprised at the amount of sexual harassment of teachers by adolescents, too. The reason is because nothing would be done about it because they're just kids, so teachers brush off the behaviors from students that would get any adult fired from a career if it happened in the workplace.

I was in jail for something not related to domestic violence, but a lot of guys were there because of their girlfriends/wives. Often, they would say things like "but we have been together 7 years" to explain why they would stay after she put him in jail on charges. When the guy would separate from the woman who put him in jail, though, the guys would sometimes have kids with the woman, so the woman was unavoidable. And sometimes, I suspect, bitter.

My brother called a woman's crying in the workplace an aggressive act. It happened to me, I said something light after a training about something ridiculous a woman said and she cried and left the conference room to go to her office. Everyone just assumed I was wrong based on her reaction and not on what actually happened. She said something retarded about how, as a counselor, she relates to her computer in some way and I asked her if the computer lays on the couch; it was a joke. It probably do…

Men are clearly more "violent". Jordan Peterson talked about character traits like aggression talked about a 60/40 split with men/women but it is at the extremes that explains why men are imprisoned more for violent crimes. But with men and women chivalry is a factor. I had a neighbor who called the cops because a woman was freaking out on him and the cops got him to admit that he held her hands up high and directed her backwards so they arrested him. Wow. In the movie "The Breakfast Club" the principal punches the kid and he cowers, contrary to his "hard" image. If you say something like "can we shut up please" the class will stall while a few loud mouths yell things like "Shut up! Even my own mother doesn't tell me to shut up!".

This is very believable and sad. Yesterday I shared about how a couple junkies I had in my apartment for consenting adult purposes stole $40 from me and things escalated and they ended up calling the police and lying. No one I know cares. Maybe my brother. Even mental health professionals would listen and ask me what I was doing with a couple women 15 years younger, like I was to blame. This sub got it, though, and I appreciated that. I am sorry to hear about your cousin.

I had a music teacher who gave most of the boys a grade of "N" (needs improvement) and my 3rd grade homeroom teacher I had used white out and wrote an "S" (satisfactory) on top to replace. She knew what time it was and solved the problem for the class with a bottle of white out; I didn't even have to object. She just said "watch, I am going to change this".

As a former math teacher in florida and south carolina usa, this would never fly anywhere in the usa, so crazy. Certainly not high school. What is wrong with those kids, taking abuse like that, in the usa they would beat the fuck out of the teacher I would think. And then get him fired. Punching a student in the face would be unimaginable.

My homeless vet friend keeps getting turned away from VA for drug treatment even though he pissed clean last. According to what he says. He getting his checks soon so he should be good, if only he can get home to Ohio before he goes to jail over something else petty.

Especially when custody of kids is a factor, like accusing an ex of abusing kids. That's primal, like a mother bird fighting when kids are disturbed. Women will do anything to keep their kids - it is the plot to every Lifetime movie.

it was coersive. I was cuffed the whole time. I felt that not pressing charges would give the cops something to offer the women to get them to confess to end the whole ordeal. I agree with you but that was the dynamic at the time.

I had 2 women lie and call the cops, alleging assault. I wanted on-scene investigation. They separated them and the women contradicted each other. If it was only one woman I probably would have gone to jail. You can not tell me it doesn't happen. I didn't press charges for false statements or whatever, sorry, I just wanted them gone forever from then on.
