Cheers for the info. Glad to see PhDs in ML are relevant in the industry, but like you said only if combined with some softer skills. I don't think I'll ever stop being an engineer!

I might not have added I'm on a full scholarship. So a tuition fees paid and UK stipend of £15k tax free per year. I've got about 1.5 years of industry experience which has let me reflect that I'd like to use my intelligence in a more challenging way. Cheers for your response.

Whilst I agree this is good advice I have been trying it for months and things still don't seem to be progressing! I don't know how else to slyly suggest I enjoy head so much. It's got to the stage where it's starting to frustrate me
