She said "you've been taught," not "your understanding is superior." In other words, you have a false sense of superiority and you probably don't understand after all. Dude's 50 something and apparently a modestly paid immigrant himself. Hordes of women are not beating down his door. He was lonely, and probably deserves some slack.
