I'll talk to the recruiter on Monday. I will ask if they could turn the position into a hybrid remote position after a couple of months or if I could transfer to the Miami office after a period. I agree to that. My plan would be to come back ASAP but definitely no later than 12 months. The job is at Meta, so in theory it should open up some doors in Orlando, so I will be able to get a decent job in IT. Currently, I am making around $40k per year and that's not really enough in Orlando when you consider that I have to pay child support and that I'm trying to do fun things with my son and get him healthy food.

What are your opinions? Stay in Florida and hope to find a better job that pays a liveable wage? How good is a father that's broke and can't see his son? I thought of going to Austin for 9-12 months. I would start applying in Florida for good jobs as soon as 3 months in. I just want it for the experience on my resume and to get started in IT (I wanted that for a long time). I would be hired through a staffing agency and work for Facebook/meta.

In her head it's 100% solely my fault that we got divorced. She has a victim mentality overall and she likes it when others think that "she's such a poor thing". I am almost certain that she's a vulnerable narcissist and probably also borderline. Do you have any advice or an idea where I can get advice/help from? It especially makes no sense that she is the victim in her head but thinks about having sex with me.

The court order says that she has to pick him up at my place but during the contempt of court hearing the judge rewarded her in the verbal ruling that I have to drop him off at her place. However, months later and no judgement has been issued in writing. Should I just refuse to drop him off at her place and insist that she needs to pick him up at my place?

Congratulations man. Also, it's insane that you only got 50/50. If you would have been the one with a DUI with kids in the car, you would have supervised visitation only because you are a "danger" to your kids.

I also think that she has BPD and is a narc. There is no fault from her side ever/at all. Too late, she has a TPO against me. She lied on her petition a lot, I can even proof that she lied on several occasions. She also said edited video evidence to make me look bad. Yet, she might get a permanent restraining order because she is a woman. Also, what can I do not to deal with her stuff?

That sounds a lot like my ex. Fortunately she hasn't had a drinking problem. She was driving like a maniac and drag racing people from traffic lights. Ok, so that's what she did. I told her no a couple of times in the car that made he bash her head on the dashboard until it cracked (or the head-rest when she was in the backseat). She lost her shit when I forgot to take out the trash at night and continued while I was taking the trash out. The following night she lost her shit because I took out the trash and it was less than half full (damned if I do, damned if I don't). Oh I forgot to mention that I will need to file a contempt of court case against her and that she might lose the ro case against me. That paired with her short temper and that she has a unregistered firearm puts me in a precious position. What do you think? I might as a lawyer as well

I've videos that show her attacking me and that she has a horrible temper. She does not claim that I threatened her at all (I set up home surveillance cameras while we were still living together and I take videos every time I see her for drop off/pick up). I also am scared because she has that temper and 2 firearms that are not registered in her name. I am going to file a motion for contempt of court and that might blow a fuse.

Ok, wow thank you. I am also a permanent resident (green card holder) and I have heard that a DV judgment can make me deportable. What would your advise be, try to get a RO against her as well? I have videos that show her attacking me (most verbally, some physically). I haven't heard from her for several months so it might make it difficult to get a RO.

I've heard that you can join the military, police or most other federal/state jobs, so that alone is a good reason as well. I'm also worried that potential future employers might find it while performing a background check.

No my last line sounds horrible. The complete truth is that the judge from the TPO allows me to see my son but my ex wife has been withholding my court ordered timesharing time for months. She didn't even let me talk to him at Christmas and hand him over his present. There is another hearing not belonging to the TPO in a view weeks and I will file a contempt of court for withholding timesharing time. Anything else i should do? I am about to hire a lawyer for the TPO

Same here. Her mom pays her lawyer, otherwise she would be interested in making a deal. I'm actually fighting to get the divorce set aside (distribution highly unfair due to duress/coercion, additionally she lied on her financial affidavit).

The divorce has been finalized last year. I was coerced/under duress, and the committed fraud. Also, I got nothing and also no custody, for those reasons I try to set the final judgement aside. Difficult I know 🫤

I'm sorry, English isn't my first language. I thought long shot means difficult and less likely to win the case. So, did she only mean that it will take a long time and it was no negative thought about the outcome of the case at all? Edit: if it means "will take a long time" then I know because it is a difficult case and my ex is doing everything to drag it out (switched lawyers, objected our requests). She might do that to make me run out of money.
