You need a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and just continuous exposure. So create a budget for a CBT and continually expose yourself to new people. You go out, meet people, make mistakes, push comfort zones, then go back to you CBT and talk about it. Implement the methods. Do the work. I also highly recommend joining a martial art, jiu-jitsu preferably. You'll be amazed how much confidence will be built through physically facing conflict. You have to be careful here, because humans are actually HORRIFIC at detecting change within themselves. It is perfectly normal to think you are not improving or that you don't feel different and this is because change is slow and our self-perception is INCREDIBLY distorted. Did you find a cognitive therapist that helped you? I've had counsellors before and they are/were useless. Is there a difference?
