So basically it's okay to retaliate any way you want so long as no weapon is involved? The reason why I asked this question is because personally, throwing a Mike Tyson right hook to the chin of a 110 pound girl doesn't seem justifiable if that person gets water thrown in their face. Yes but the threat was neutralized by the security guards in this scenario. Again it'd be ridiculously frustrating getting slapped like that and her just getting away with it. But sometimes in certain contexts you should just let it go, because it's pointless to throw a haymaker to a woman who is currently being held back by security.

For the most part I agree that if you hit and attack someone, they should defend themselves. However in this situation, he wasn't defending himself.
