What is your source for all women wanting "stereotypical masculine men"? I wouldn't consider any men I know in healthy marriages that way. They are well rounded people with high Emotional IQ who aren't overly concerned with masculinity.

It's about attitude and maturity, not body fat.

They have a child together. The guy has anger issue but never physically abused her. If he ever loses his temper and she feels unsafe she can leave

What are some examples of this?

Because she just had a baby and read it on some moms forum. The dude really put too much thought into it.

My ex is a single mom. Anyone who thinks less of me for it is someone who I really couldn't care less about their opinion. They are cavemen angry that the world is more complex than what they have to offer. You know what real masculinity is? Not being afraid that you will be seen as less of a man by not following some bullshit "rules". Alpha male types are insecure in their masculinity so they worry about all this BS and who and what makes a man a man

So our purpose is boiled down to the same as a sea slug's and you label anyone who doesn't share your view as disingenuous.

Women don't want to be approached in gyms. Gyms are not social. Hiking club is social. Join a club that is social. What even is a "gym club"?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 06:15 PM

From what I see most of these people get shit on for being shallow and petty. Look at any of the online dating subreddits like Bumble or Tinder....women get shamed for putting anything about height or income on their profiles...which they should There will always be shitty insecure people on social media posting dumb shit for clout Also: https://reddit.com/r/TikTokCringe/s/3sYQiH0NLW

Jesus Christ I hate those ads

This really went off the rails when OP misused the word "scam" and doubled down on it
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:46 AM

How do you read any of this thread and come to the conclusion that OP is fun to be around

Have you ever lived for more than a month outside of your home country? Where are you from? I'm from the USA. I have been a digital nomad for 2.5 years and I lived 6 months in Mexico, 6 Months in Brazil, 3 months in Europe. I have dual citizenship in the EU and have spent 1-2 months there 3 of the last 5 summers. When I was 26 I did a 10 month trip around the world. In total, I've been to 32 countries on 6 continents. I can speak Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. So yes, bro, I travel, lol. I'll…

Don't you have a pretty big sample bias? "The Boys" have likely met women who are traveling, specifically in SE Asia which is going to be a particular type of woman who does not comform to 'traditional family' values and are probably not there specifically to meet men. While men often are looking for women/relationships in SE Asia.

More like complaining you're thirsty when there's a half eaten hot dog on the ground. "I'm lonely and want companionship" "But you can literally fuck any horny virgin"

I've never thought to consider TRP non-traditional. Misogyny, gender roles, insecurity, jealousy, manipulativeness...wow really cutting edge stuff 🙄

Gender is so difficult because it's so ingrained in us that it becomes a circular reference. What I mean is even in a homosexual relationship you ascribe 'masculine' and 'feminine' traits to things that don't need to be gendered on their face. Who drives the car? Who is the provider? Who is the nurturer? Who fixes things? Who keeps the home in order? It's easy to imagine a society where those things aren't seen as 'gendering' roles in a relationship. girls can be bi and they would be more submis…

For me the boundary is simply if either still has feelings for the other. The other aspect is which relationship you want to prioritize. It can be ok to date someone that causes your friendship to not be as close as it once was.

You can find someone online to be pissed at you for anything, that doesn't make it a legitimate or widespread opinion. I think you are falling for some sort of 'slippery slope' fallacy. No one is saying men can't have standards. What happens is that women are so objectified and sexualized that people become overly sensitive to comments about looks. It's like the height thing with men. People rightfully call out the toxic 'short men aren't men' attitude because it's harmful for people who interna…

Lol did having a sister radicalize me? Dude that is a wild way to ask the question and reveals a lot about your perspective. It's great that you are curious and introspective about these things, because I think your friend is probably right. I grew up with a sister and 2 brothers. I was always very close with my sister. I think the bigger impact it had on me is it made it very easy for me to be friends with girls. Before I found my confidence it actually hurt my dating chances because I was alwa…

Just want to add that I think confidence is more important than actual physical form but lifting increases testosterone and working out generally increases confidence

That's an interesting perspective. I always worry when I put on excess weight but I think it's mostly in my head. Honestly I think the testosterone + confidence boost from OP lifting would have a bigger impact than his attractiveness

Lol he totally blew that 'how would you describe the color green to a blind person' question. I've never seen these before. Super interesting and super awkward.

Yeah I feel like the two black women were clearly not his type. Felt very awkward. That was cute when he clicked with #6 though

I don't fully understand this sentiment on this sub (I'm new) It seems like a lot of people are caught up with the idea that women date more attractive men in their early 20s, and then 'settle' once they reach a certain age. Dual dating strategy or whatever. It seems like it causes a lot of resentment for men talking about it but I don't really see how it's a big deal. Can you explain your perspective on what you said about 'dating down'? Would like to hear the perspective of a woman who partici…

This makes a lot of sense. I also think that social attitudes affect the trends we've seen a lot. Liberal cities where women are thinking about their own career or want to travel/pursue independent interests will be less likely to settle down because it's more difficult to fit a LTR into that lifestyle. If you look at southern/more conservative areas people still tend to settle down much earlier. I think it has a lot to do with gender norms but this is just my anecdotal theory

32M. I'm single but I've been in multiple LTRs post-college. I met one at a wedding of a friend from HS, my ex went to my HS but we didn't really know each other, though I knew her older sister. We dated for 3 years. One I met through a female friend who was visiting my city for Halloween. Her friend lived there as well and we had a good time out with friends and then I started pursuing her. We dated for about 2 years. Most recent one I actually met on the sidewalk outside my apartment because s…

I feel like photo feeler is actually pretty good. I click the canned responses all the time when there's something 'off' about the photo but I don't want to actually type anything so I click the closest match

Also sucks for the jock who sees 27 year old women interested in doctors. Would you rather be seen as desirable 10 years ago or desirable now?

What's the new information? He said everyone knows women are hotter in their early 20s. So he knew she would have been hotter before. Also that analogy does not work. Generosity is not something you lose with age.

This is a great post, though I'm not sure I fully understand your point. People like this are looking at the situation all wrong and are feeding their own bitterness and jealousy. His personality and strengths set him up for long term success. He wasn't prom king, he was a future doctor. Not many people get to do both but that's what he wants. He had different priorities and strengths that brought him to this point. Seeing this as her 'settling' because she was hotter at 20 is incredibly shallow…
