I’d wait until you meet someone else
/r/Divorce_Men07/04/24 11:50 AM

What do you mean you don’t have access to your finances? There’s a lot missing from your story and you sound messy AF

Know that she made that up to hurt you. Praying on your insecurities because she knows how to.

It’s not happening with her. You have a good decade to still have kids and being in prime dad years running around etc

Hatred is poisonous. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Time to focus on yourself and your own happiness and leave her in the misery of her own creation

Yes I’m the same age and was with my ex the same amount of time. Time is your friend, and you can’t rush it. Start going to the gym and meeting other women

But someone worthy will. First step is to start loving yourself again

There is nothing to be ashamed of (except maybe the begging). Sometimes people just grow apart. It’s not your fault.

You want to think he still loves you. But you’re not listening to him. He is telling you he doesn’t. That’s not something you can fix.

Why would you want someone to stay with you who no longer loves you? You shouldn’t have to beg. It’s over and you need to allow yourself to heal and move on with your own happiness. You cannot force anyone to love you. The irony is, everything you are doing will push him further away

What if you gave him some responsibility in trip planning? That might be fun for him and inspire some interest. Make it a project, give him a budget and have him choose the destination and flights and activities. Educational and bonding.

Is she still in the slammer? Has she tried to contact you from the inside?

Sex workers are absolutely for top men. I get that you’re trolling and this is a big joke to you (ma’am and I’m very sorry your husband left you) but sex workers are an underrated and under utilized source of companionship and company. Please don’t disrespect them just because your rancid snatch is spoiled and no one wants it for free let alone pay for it. The sex workers I see are beautiful women inside and out and they deserve to be treated and compensated as such.

I’m no drinking and no dating as well. Two words: sex workers

You can buy spy cameras that look like a pen on Amazon. I would get one and record every interaction you have with her to protect yourself against false accusations

No judgement here. I was caught cheating with sex workers. That wasn’t the reason we divorced, but a symptom of an already dead bedroom and dead marriage.

That won’t happen right away. But in time. Keeping it amicable and coparenting kindly is the best foundation for a future friendship.

Understandable. You can still have all this with the right woman

Getting knocked up by an unemployed dude and living off a teacher’s salary with 4 kids? They seem like intelligent human beings who should multiply

It’s not worth the $ in lawyer to dispute it. She’s being a petty pos. You don’t have to be. Move on and live better that the wicked miserable witch- that’s true revenge

Personally, I prefer sex workers. Look on Tryst

She’s a bad mother. I believe he will look back and see this. My parents used me as a weapon in their divorce and I was a child. Although I wasn’t aware of it at the time, I became aware of it as a young man.

I understand. We have 1 child but she’s now an adult in college so our petty squabbles are over money and other assets. It’s been Hell, but nothing compared to watching someone weaponize your child. That’s sick

I drink. And I’m really trying not to. I had mediation this week and while it did not go in my favor, I’m so fucking ready to move on I just don’t care to fight for some things anymore. It’s not worth the stress and it’s doing to me. I’m ready to move on with my new way of life. I’ve since gotten a gym membership that came with 2 sessions with a trainer and have that set up for Saturday. Myself and my sanity are my new focus. I am letting go of the witch and her wicked ass ways because she isn’t…

Inviting her toxicity back into your life is a mistake bro

Same here, my dude. I’m 47 was married 21 years and still going through proceedings after 8 months of separation. I’m currently on a couple dating apps. I’ve been on some dates and slept with a few of them. No real chemistry worth pursuing there but I’m open to it should the right person come along. Truth be told I need to lose my beer belly before I attract further prospects

it did help me to sleep with other women. I’m not looking for a relationship after being with someone most of my adult life but should I meet someone worth it, I would. Right now it’s just nice to be my own man not answer to anyone and being able to get my rocks off with a nice lady and it don’t matter who seen it

Trauma bonding and codependency? I haven’t had a new relationship yet but I have slept with a couple women and that put some things in perspective for me.

Either he met someone else, and you were the rebound, or he needs to be alone for a while to figure himself out. Either way, he’s not in love with you and you owe it to yourself to have more out of a partner. As my daughter would say, “you do you, girl!”

Similar story here. 47M married 21 years separated for 8 months and started the divorce proceedings and it’s not going well. I try to focus on my health, honestly. Made some recent changes like I quit drinking and am being more active to get in better shape

My advice is to stop trying to control his behavior and move the fuck out. You sound toxic AF

You’re right. This will be more of me giving her the business “we” (I) started
/r/Divorce_Men26/01/24 02:03 AM

Wow. I can’t believe 5 years is a possibility. I’m sorry. The only people benefiting right now are the lawyers. I’m ready to just let go and concede. She may “win” more of my shit but she’ll still be HER. And that’s not a win. Me, I will go on with the rest of my Life and live well and be happy.

I went no contact with her and I need to keep it that way. She is really a monster

Unfortunately it’s the other way around. I’m the one with some bad decisions in my history. But what’s more is I’m actually trying my best to be a better person. But I just keep getting beat down over and over and over. Some days I want to just concede to get it over with but I think I’ll regret that so I continue to fight for the assets I believe are rightfully mine. It’s complicated and I’m so effing tired.
