Yeah, if an ethnic man (or any man) can only admit to pursuing one particular race of women, my belief is that it's rooted in envy, internalized racism, or a combination of the two +/- some other things. Closely related is the idea of "beauty standards," because where does that standard come from? It's "generally" accepted that it comes from white people. However, it is possible to find anything, any trait attractive if your views aren't influenced or pressured by the one group that dominated th…

What about the woman that are the victims of these crimes? We just going to ignore them because the poor men can’t get dates? Show me where I said we should or are going to ignore the women who are victims to a highly traumatizing (which is quite frankly an understatement) crime. That is another issue entirely that surely needs to be addressed with urgency. The issue in this context isn't that they simply "can't get dates." The issue is that the vast majority of them are almost always viewed to …

Yes, it's most likely true. And? This info and relating statistics are always brought up as some sort of "gotcha," but how I see it is just another shitty way of silencing people and shifting blame onto those that don't necessarily deserve it. It feels like it's brought up in bad faith because the underlying message always seems to come off as "you deserve it because your people are scum that rape." Why are Indian-American men being compared to and grouped together with the men in India that com…

Reminds me of a 4chan comment that went something like "I'm straight so whatever makes my dick hard is a woman."

Ultimately it's a matter of whether or not you think the juice is worth the squeeze. The thing about the black pill for me is that if you truly believed and accepted all that it encompasses, you might come to the conclusion that it ("improvement") is not worth the effort. After all, why would anyone want to compete and engage in the very practices that did not favor them to begin with just to gain the approval of people that wanted nothing to do with them initially? It can feel very fake, unsati…

The whole song is sung in Korean and isn't copying any current Western artist. Right, but K-pop is popular outside of Korea/Asia. The song is in Korean, the idols are Korean, it doesn't draw from western artists, etc. But the choice to use a black male love interest for the MV, in my opinion, seems like a move made to appeal to a western (American) audience moreso than an Asian audience. I think it's just a marketing choice rather than a meaningful decision with a message that people (Asians) wi…

Don't think it's a sign of anything but catering to a western audience. Consider it a "cheap" way to pass it off as "promoting" diversity, I guess. Why was it a black man? Why not Spanish, South Asian, Native American, and so on? They'd have to do a lot more if they had a sincere interest in breaking the stigma around dark skinned folks and other ethnicities in Asia. Edit to add: While black people in Asia might be rated the lowest on an SMV scale, I think there's still a large enough niche grou…

If I had to offer up a guess or two, it's because there's no frame of reference or prior experience(s) to really compare to. This first love and hopefully first sexual partner, therefore will be the purest, most vulnerable form of love a person will ever experience with someone. It's most likely when you genuinely believe in a just world, believe in true love, and all that other "nice" stuff about relationships. You try your hardest to make it the best fairytale relationship ever. Other than tha…

But how many passport bro's are actually prepared to fill the social and cultural expectations the women and the womens families have for them? Or hell just dealing with the prejudice that they will face. This is in part why I can't fully suggest it in good conscience. Fact of the matter is there are some bitter, maladjusted types that see it as a way of living out their "chad" fantasies or experiencing what they feel they missed out on - having options, pumping and dumping, dangling a carrot in…

Same reasons as men and women from any other ethnicity might be obsessed with white people. Just differing levels of mental gymnastics to convince themselves and others that it's okay. Ranges from acceptable to notions rooted in goofy ideas and beliefs that should be considered unacceptable. Why Indian men specifically in this context though?

Think this one's a reach mate. Women do like video games - and a lot of other "geeky" things men do - they're just not as open about it usually because men treat them some type of way when they are open about it. Some common ones I've observed are: Gatekeeping or trying to test their knowledge or gauge if they have "real taste" Women enjoy things in moderation or may not be as outwardly enthusiastic about the interest and men sometimes interpret this as "fake" interest or do the most to convince…

There's no one particular reason. Some naturally find older men attractive, some have underlying or deep-rooted issues stemming from their childhood and their relationship with their father, some do it to kill time, some do it out of desperation and want for stability. It is what it is.

Legal sex work would not address the underlying issue of loneliness or adequately replace the important emotional aspect of an intimate, meaningful connection with another human. The escape from loneliness, the unparalleled feeling of having found your "forever" person, a reason to grind and do your best - a quick XYZ hour(s) fuck session won't be enough forever for some people. We'd just be dealing with the next problem on the list once everyone has access to legal sex work. I support the legal…

At first glance, this might sound like a nice scenario but I think it's terrible. It's not at all how things would play out if a woman like that actually approached me with genuine interest because of how I am as a person and what I want from a partner and relationship in general. So for your exact scenario: things would go nowhere.

If they have enough confidence to upload to Reddit/social media they're far from ugly. Don't think there's anything wrong with being a 5 in general. A 5 by truerateme standards especially isn't bad, although I'm of the opinion that the requirements to fit into a tier are terrible.

Don't think delusional is the right word to describe this woman in particular but I guess I understand where you're coming from in a general sense. He was a former The Bachelorette contestant/applicant, she's pretty damn attractive herself, they both seem to have or come from money and similar social status - it was bound to happen. She never had anything to worry about in the first place.

A+ for effort and creativity. I think it might hurt his match rate overall, but it will also help narrow down who he actually matches with - people that are curious enough to watch all of that and are into whatever brand of humor he's got going on. Personally, I think it's a bit much considering how much of a gamble OLD can be. There's a lot of pee in the dating pool. I don't mean to imply everyone should do the minimum but surely there's a happy medium between no bio/bad bio, and this trend of …

Well if i lose my virginity to him he will see me as less. So why would i do that? Even among incels and pill bros, I'm willing to bet they would not care or see you as less. Especially if they're the ones that took your virginity in the first place. The ones that are likely to see you that way are not the type of people you would ever want to waste a minute on in the first place. Other than that, I understand where you're coming from and I empathize. It sounds like you've got a lot of fears abo…

Combination of things. Simply put though, they're contending with intense "bullying". There are no doubt plenty of Indian men that are perfectly fine, well adjusted individuals who may very well be good potential partners. However, the world operates on assumptions and preconceived notions like: street shitters, misogynists, sexually repressed and rapey, backwards culture, super conservative, and so on. Sure there's some truth to all those things but to have the actions of the worst possible peo…

My settings were... Age: 24-32 Exclude married and mothers Any race 4'11" to 6'2" Exclude obese Minimum income: 0k Result: 2/5 red pills: down to earth. 🤷‍♂️ For women, I'll use similar settings but also adjust for things that a woman would most likely look out for. Age: 24-32 Exclude married Any race 5'10" minimum Exclude obese Minimum income: 80k Result: 4/5 cat enthusiast. Adjusting to 5'8", 60k minimum income results in a 3/5 aspiring cat lady rating. Adjusting for specific races makes the r…

I'd probably date a fat or really ugly white woman because I think they're attractive enough to date. Crazy to think someone just being white trumps other aspects of physical beauty for some people. It's not automatically attractive as it depends entirely on the person. Speaking for myself, I rate ethnic women higher than white women but race in general is not something I place any meaningful value in. As long as they have features that appeal to me (which is diverse), I'm good.

I'd say swap 4 and 5. Maybe even go as far as saying 4 might be dead last. Hard to say whether people's preconceived notions about blacks or South Asians are worse in a global context and how they're gauging SMV though. I guess as a basic tier list it floats well enough.

Sure, I agree. I see it as the man loses control as soon as he approaches, because now the decision to be receptive and reciprocate advances lies with the woman. No one will have absolute control (unless their person chooses to be submissive or a total doormat), rather that it shifts back and forth depending on the situation. Personally though, I don't think worrying about who has more "control" in a relationship is healthy for the relationship or the people involved in it.

but men control which women get taken seriously as romantic partners and who becomes wives. So overall, men control relationships more. Eh. That's assuming women even want monogamy/marriage. While it can be considered the default or norm right now, that could change in the coming years. Also, I understand this is in the context of hetero relationships considering the nature of this sub, but how do you account for the LGBTQ+ parties? I'm of the opinion that whoever is being pursued has the most "…

IMO personality doesn't mean shit if people aren't receptive to giving you the time of day because you don't appeal to the eyes. Do both, but prioritize looks first.

Why are you, a straight man, worried about where other men put their dicks? Sounds pretty sus to me. Got too much penis on the mind don't ya? I think you're too hung up on the labels.

In the 2010s I used to be active in an online chat room. There was a girl who was well known in the community and she was exposed as being a dog fucker. Picture and video evidence spread like wildfire at the time. People still remember her as "dog fucker [her name]" to this day.

Truly some astonishing brain rot. Average men are still people. If all you can do is view them as a commodity to be had then you're probably better off not dating, being in a relationship, or generally associating with anyone in a deeper way unless you've got some sort of mutual agreement going on. It's deeply concerning if your biggest worry is what someone "brings to the table," rather than seeing them as a whole person with meaningful qualities and traits.

Ah man. Truthfully, I've spent more time than I care to admit trying to articulate my thoughts but the response always ends up being too fucking long and convoluted. It's such a complicated issue. I hate to take the easy way out but the gist of what I intended to say is that social justice should be promoted, advocated, taught, and so on because the way to bring forth meaningful change is to make people aware of, care about, and take steps to address social justice issues. Things like income ine…

instead of learning social justice and sensitivity training; ideas that depend on the system and have no practical or tangible value outside of the system. Kind of ironic that you lament about how bleak things have become and will only continue to get, but seem to be against the very things that help pave the way to usher in meaningful change? What's the rationale there?

Oh come on, is this supposed to be a gotcha? It's not even remotely a fair comparison. That aside, define fat and define poor in this context.

Eh. Have you ever examined or reflected on what it is about a taller man that makes you feel "safe and protected" over shorter men? Or why you have come to link feelings of safety, protection, femininity, etc. specifically to being with taller men? Realistically, what is it that the 5'11"+ guy is doing that a 5'whatever guy can't besides existing as a tall guy. At its very core, I think a lot of dating hang-ups for men and women are nothing but mental gymnastics to justify shallowness and *insec…

Most people have differing ideas of what they consider "fat". What do you consider to be fat? Personally, I find "ethnic" women to be most attractive so "white" women are usually lower on my radar. But to answer the question, yes. I would date doughy, chubby, or even BBW to a degree. Speaking strictly in terms of physical appearance it all depends on how the weight is distributed on their frame. However, even aesthetically pleasing "heavier" people can still be in the range of unhealthy. I canno…

Assuming this was present from the get-go: paraplegic/major physical disabilities. I would stick by a partner if they unfortunately became disabled during our relationship but can't see myself doing it otherwise.
