I don't hate men, but I hate the things men have done to me. The assaults, toxic masculinity, the whole goddamn patriarchy (that hurts EVERYONE).

I always assume if they don't have a pic they're cheating or scouting before they leave their current gf.

Ugh. I can't TAKE the pushing of boundaries. I used to smoke and drink to cope with the changes around me and it became a problem that almost killed me. Quitting both was the hardest thing I ever done. I didn't trust going to AA because there are predatory men there and I can't trust them when I'm vulnerable. Men partners will absolutely ignore and enable these problems, then turn it on you when it becomes too much. Craft beer and cigarettes is not a personality. 🤦‍♀️

Oh absolutely, the media they consume becomes a script for their personality. What they don't get is that most of these characters are assholes and unlikable by most normal social conventions. Then they get mad at you for calling them out on their intolerable dickishness, because they were supposed to be so lovable. 🙄

It's okay for you to take a break to take care of yourself too. It is understandable to not want to be alone while you go through this new and sudden transition in your life. However, both of these things are in conflict, and it doesn't make you bad for wanting both but it is in your best interest to choose yourself (especially while you heal). It's going to hurt for a while and feel especially lonely because now you are in the phase where it feels like you have a phantom limb. I can't make prom…

He says he's not giving you an ultimatum but he is. ): He came to you making it seem like you had a choice, and while it's alright to change what you want, it's manipulative to make it seem like his feelings about this are all your fault. If this is something that's causing him so much distress, he needs to take the lead and move on. Instead, he is pushing you into this role. It seems like he has some issues to work through, especially if he has troubles with being vulnerable like he claims.

It's like baby burlesque 2.0. 🙄 No child should be sexualized, but this is often pushed onto girls at a young age.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
