Someone else in your age/situation may feel alone. You associated people with furniture. As much as I love my Mercedes for example that’s not going to replace a woman i’d love. There’s nothing wrong with what OP said. They’re not anxious attached. They just want to be in a relationship. That’s normal.

I don’t know about your friends situation, but almost all women regardless of their looks or status got into a relationship because a guy approached them, asked them out and proceeded from there. I have to correct you on this because there’s below average, above and just average. most women or men fall in the average range. Yes op is right average women can find someone easily. Even the below average ones if they set their standards lower. Women don’t have much of a problem finding someone as men do and it’s a proven fact.

Do they go out? Are they friendly? Do they approach men in their circle? Do they give an indication of interest? Do they put any effort in their social/relationship skills and understand how men are like in general? If yes then I wouldn’t call that average. Average women expect a man to make all the moves and on top of that want a guy that is usually doing better than them in all aspects (looks, height, salary, etc). You want to have your cake and eat it too. This is why there’s a lot of problem…
