I need a pick me up, menA similar thing happened to me with my daughter. I moved out of the house and eventually into a small apartment, because it was all I could afford, while being able to afford activities with her. In the beginning, she told me that she was uncomfortable sleeping at my apartment, because it was strange and different for her. It took a little bit, but she came around eventually. I had to give her time to deal with the divorce. I did my best to create a space for her to be comfortable. Even get them… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/01/25 07:18 PM
Wedding ring after divorceI kept mine. It's not worth much, because I saved money on myself to get her platinum, diamonds and sapphires. She told me she would save hers for our daughter. I may toss mine somewhere, it was always a thought. Just wait for a clear head before making a decision. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/23 03:31 PM
She fucked another manNot, was in love, still is trying. I think right now she's "football practice" ( he's a coach )😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/23 12:38 AM
She fucked another manMy ex's new soulmate is still married to his wife after almost 3 years. I laugh to myself | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/10/23 12:33 AM
The sense of entitlement is insane - it's like she thinks we're still married! The other day, my ex texted me to ask that if in our entire relationship, has she ever once guilt tripped me. My answer was YES. She asked when, and I asked, including now? So I laid out all the current and some past situations. She then says I must have misunderstood. I explained that guilt trips are used to manipulate, which is a form of control and you did do that, often. I asked why she was asking me , and she said that her and the AP (now married boyfriend), are having a difference of opini… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/11/22 02:58 PM

An IdeaI think it's a great idea. I was part of a Google meet from a divorce sub. There were about 6 of us. It was super helpful. We were supposed to do it every week, but it never continued. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/22 02:11 PM
STBXW stole furniture from marital home post separation. What are my options to get reimbursed ?Didn't take a damn thing except a plant that wasn't doing so well. Ironically enough, it came back to life when it left the house. How much money will it cost for the attorney to fight for the items or compensation? It might not be worth the argument. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/22 01:40 AM
Divorce FinancesSounds like you're filing for bankruptcy and divorce. It's unfortunate, but usually people file after divorce. If it's a mortgage, they can take your house or you have to pay. I'm pretty sure back support and future obligations aren't discharged in bankruptcy, however it may be difficult to get paid back amounts.i would pursue garnishment going forward. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/22 06:07 PM

Experiences with alimony?I know someone who is paying his wife alimony until she "gets married". She's perpetually engaged and her fiance is wealthy and owns a daycare facility. She "doesn't work", but bought a lake house. Now she's just taking advantage of her ex, because she has no intention of getting married. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 02:56 PM
What is your perception and view of women in general after your experience being married?everyone has kids and was married. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/10/22 09:04 AM
What is your perception and view of women in general after your experience being married?I feel like I wasted time believing in marriage. She destroyed that thought. I just think it's harder to meet women now. Easier access, yes, but online creates too many options. In some ways it's overwhelming. I want companionship, but I don't think I can share myself the same way again and I don't really want to. At my age, everyone is broken, so that creates another level. I don't think it's all women, but she definitely had a fucked up idea of what love is and the grass being greener on the o… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/10/22 12:01 AM
Visiting my child is staggering painMy mother wasn't a good mother and she had times that she neglected my brother and I. My Dad kept a dated journal with all the things she did, and all the crazy things she said. My Dad had to go back to court to fight to get custody of us. He was able to use his journals as proof of neglect. I'm not saying you are going through the same thing, but it's good to document things in case you need them in the future. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/22 05:29 PM
Visiting my child is staggering painListen to the court and definitely focus on the big picture. Make the time you have personal and individualized. Keep it simple, Daddy and me gymnastics, play etc. Be the best Dad you can and make that your focus. Just have tunnel vision and try not to react to outside interference, but keep a dated journal by date. My Dad did this in his divorce and subsequent custody battle. My Mom would make an accusation, but my Dad would break out a journal and prove neglect. The court took it all as eviden… | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/22 03:16 PM
