Welcome to the dread game. Leave, you guys have fundamental differences. Maybe in the past people worked through differences regarding roles, but the gap between beliefs is extremely wide these days. Find somebody that respects you as a human. He needs a therapist, not somebody to abuse. Because thats what youre experiencing, abuse

Im sorry thats the case. Thats fine you felt that way, i dont know you and only have they way you present your point to go off of. At the end of the day, we live in different worlds. You have a lot of time to figure things out, life isnt linear and everybody moves at their own unique path and has their own milestones. Focusing mainly on who is having sex vs the sex you arent having, and losing your virginity isnt going to take you in a direction that is fulfilling or even successful and can/will…

The only thing sending dude to rock bottom is himself. Its honorable to care about him as a human being, but look at how much of a one way street that is. You see him as a human, he sees you as a woman that isnt serving up some made up nonsense he feels entitled to for existing with a penis. Leave. Get therapy. Find somebody who extends you the humany you have extended to this guy.

Ive been keeping tabs on this growing movement since 2014, and although im older, i go through phases like this. These men are sick and disconnected from reality. This is a manufactured issue, men that hold manosphere beliefs are reactionary and easy to control and market to. In a reactionary world, they thrive. Consume other content, distance yourself from this, surround yourself with good people and cultivate interests outside of this. These days, I only consume manosphere content through this…

I know your Dads advice sounds vacuous vague and doesnt serve your feelings, but hes correct. You need to think about what you want your life will look like outside of sex. Youre so so young man. As a 35 year old woman, girls learn really young how to tell when men are obsessed with having sex and dont care about anything else. They learn those men are scary because thats a hurtful experience to be on the other end of. Even if that isnt your intent, thats what youre working against, and with the…

This is really solid advice. The only way out is through, and technique is just becoming self aware and working on your own personal emotional stability and happiness.

You’re welcome. I think a lot of people only see him in reels about fitness and him saying some surface bullshit about taking ownership of your life or whatever and don’t understand the full extent. He’s also been charged with 11 counts for varying crimes including rape and assault in the UK, worth bringing up too in case there is any debate as to whether or not he’s a rapist. Good luck🧡

Ask him what he thinks of the Andrew Tate voicemails, where he’s berating the woman he raped and bragging about raping her. If he doesn’t know, show him, and ask him what he thinks about it. In person. That will be a good test as to whether or not you should stay or not. I personally don’t understand why you might want to stay with somebody where there is a relatively high chance they don’t see you as a whole human, but I also understand empathy. All this being said, you’re young, and breaking y…

Hahaha no worries we all gotta start somewhere! Sorry if I was too brash with you at any point, just a lot of passion about the subject matter I guess! Thanks for your candor. I understand what you mean, I simply say what I do because the vast majority of people don’t view content carefully, media literacy is in a strange place. This is especially true when the content is an aggravating subject. Nuances that aren’t entirely clear are often misconstrued as ambiguous at best, so it’s good to be mindful of that.

Then I hate to say it but I agree with who got to you before me. Leaving it dangling to the end is not a move that values integrity. Personally, I feel like you should front-load it with how shitty he is and instead of spending more time asking “is he shitty?!!?” You ask right away “why the hell do people follow somebody so shitty????” And answer that question. It feels less clickbait that way and shockingly raises a question that more people would be interested in seeing answered while also inf…

The video just feels like engagement farming. Buzzwords, leading the question, and flirting heavily with towing the middle line. I did not finish because I can only take so much of the man’s face, but if the voicemails he left that woman, bragging about raping her aren’t brought up, then I’m not really keen on entertaining it in full. I draw the line there because if it’s a “deep dive” people need to understand without confusion that he is a monster.

There’s a reason emotionally abusive tactics are effective. They are meant to keep victims in place. People, not just women, frequently stay with abusers because abusers debase the victims belief in their worth and their ability to leave. Stepping out of the relationship is scary because they fear not being able to do so or the consequence more abuse from the partner in question. Long enough abuse, or enough of the same abuse across a persons life, they don’t know relationships that don’t have t…

I mean this is the least personal way This reads as a dismissive cop out. Not just to me, but to yourself. Depressions a bitch, and I don’t enjoy a lot of things anymore, but that’s why you work on shit so you can enjoy life a bit more than yesterday. The longer you come up with reasons to not do this for yourself, the longer you are just going to be stagnant. Stop making excuses to avoid changing.

Honestly really feel like this is putting the cart before the horse. I think you need to focus on improving your own happiness. What you are doing currently is clearly not making you secure in your own life and finding a partner or attempting to change your attraction won’t do anything for you at this current moment. I don’t think many of them have thought farther than the idea of owning a woman and are convinced she we be a sex/home slave that won’t make them change. They are not seeing women as people with traits, simply a tool to fix their life.

I understand that it’s nuanced, but guys that are genuinely nice are likely not trying to manipulate or pressure girls into to seeing them as a romantic partner, so the experiences that women are going to have are mostly with these men and unfortunately they are going to have their outlook painted by that. I think a lot of the pitfalls of younger dating is that there is a lot of pressure to conform. Be a certain way, or fill a certain role when really you just have to have a good sense of self a…

I think it’s important to note that there is a distinction between a man who is genuinely nice, and a “nice guy”. The term “nice guy” implies that the guy is not unconditionally nice, there is a caveat or ulterior motive to his nice actions. That he is only being nice to you because he see you as a prospective partner, or wants to sleep with you. Not to say that genuinely nice guys dont have bad experiences because of the disingenuous ones, or societies general allergy to genuine kindness, but t…

As one AuDHD to another. I feel you, NTs can sniff us out without even thinking, I got a lot of similar treatment growing up (as a girl, if that matters). I have never really felt like I had a place in the binary, and being treated “like a girl” usually meant “like shit” so I began to resent this role that had been placed upon me. It led me to a late teen early 20s period of some pretty big time internalized misogyny that’s taken a long time to unpack. I feel like there’s a specific experience a…

I think it’s a great way to both say nothing and feel right for the people that say it. There’s not much to it. As somebody else pointed out the strength/virtue aspect of fascist ideology. Most of the time, I think they say it to avoid engaging in any type of meaningful discussion because they can’t hang. That whole camp is very “caring is stupid” so whatever deflection they have, they use.

It’s not surprising that people want to capitalize on the curiosity of others. Data farms are all the rage too. My therapist specializes in relationships, she finds it useful. There are things she is tentative about, but it’s a relatively new theory, that’s how science goes. Assholes need to stop dividing people. Just because there are new terms for something doesn’t mean that a bias is new. Providing structural reasoning around how people form relationships is not dividing people, intolerant pe…

Terminology and categorization is used to index information, making it easier to find, research and communicate to others. MTBI and love languages are pseudoscience, attachment theory is not. You can go ahead and not like it, but it doesn’t mean it holds no value. I find it’s best to throughly research something before forming a whole opinion on it, especially one I’d be willing to share publicly, but you do you I guess! There are a lot of people, women and men, who both share and like those qualities. Unfortunately, we are invisible in most of society because socmed favors visibility and the desire to be visible socially. All of us who are more “low key” almost feel like a backdrop for the more ambitious and outgoing sometimes, but we live our own lives too. You don’t have an unattractive personality type, you’re just likely envisioning yourself in pursuit of a socialite, while forgetting that there are many wo…

Well first off, sex somebody can have and sex somebody wants to have are two entirely different things. This view is incredibly dismissive of the reality of “going to bars and being on dating apps” for women. Not everybody even likes going to the bar, and dating sites on average have roughly 80% men on them because it’s such a miserable experience for women. Additionally, there are a lot of women that are not conventionally attractive, socially or physically, they exist and they struggle just li…

I think that’s true for most people in general men/women/etc. I feel like “sexual abundance” is like late game progression lol and even then, I wouldn’t describe it as a linear thing. The good times will be good, but the bad times will be traumatizing at worst and resentment creating at best. It doesn’t take much toxicity to ruin an otherwise good connection. If he’s gaslighting you about this, and you’re an “exception” I fear it’s only going to take one percieved misstep on your part to change that dynamic and make you the target of his ire for women. Genuinely asking, but how often do the judgements become the center of your interactions with others as a man?? I’m in an unconventional relationship, something I would definitely be (and have been) similarly judged for as a woman. Most people I interact with outside of friends have no reason to know, and I don’t run into many situations where my sexual/relational status is the topic despite it being a frequent scheduling inconvenience. Out of the people that I am closer to, it’s not really a bi…

I think it just depends on the joke and the context. Every culture has their trigger, so to speak. I grew up with pretty conservative ideals, but I realized a lot of things I was taught rejected the humanity and experiences of others. I thinks there is a lot of nuance to it. You’re not really going to find one answer one this. Most hardline conservatives simply become less conservative. I think a lot of people that end up left, were likely left idealed to begin with, but since TRP etc are very conservative leanings, they ended up going along with it. After realizing it was a waste of time they leave and “suddenly become left”. There isnt really a left dominated TRP/incel space, mostly mbecause the whole animosity towards wome…

Ok, so all women are attractive, sociable, and universally desired with a buffet of men waiting for them. Got it. Are you like, still in school or something? OP said what OP said. You can have that opinion, and I’m not going to deny that the pattern you’re mentioning is dysfunctional, but as an abuse survivor, my edit applies to this perspective as well. You might understand the mechanism of that pattern if you brushed up on the mechanics behind those behaviors. It also has the added nuance of existing in an entirely different culture, rich people culture, which has its own specific set of dysfunctional values and baggage.

The thing being discussed is having empathy for abuse victims. Not intervention. The only person bringing those scenarios into the conversation is you. Stay on topic and step up the reading comprehension. Shake is right, if you don’t have empathy for human beings just because a certain demographic isn’t fucking you, you’re toxic.

I’m not going to deny that those two types of women exist, but I don’t think they are by any means “main” types. I think that’s a reductive statement. It ignores more women’s experiences than the sum of these two types and it only serves to devalue single women over 30.

I think that everybody has different wounds and different needs. A purely sexual encounter might be helpful to some, but would hurt others. A lot of what people in the ideology struggle with is intimacy and connection. Feeling wanted as a person. The sexual element is usually present, but to varying degrees. Also speaking from experience, being sexually desired and having sex does not get rid of dysmorphia or fix your self esteem. Just as easy as it could bump somebody in a good direction, it co…

Until he develops himself, anything you do is going to be weighed against his current belief system. He doesn’t see what’s wrong with his beliefs, and you can’t fix that. Move on, heal. Please.

Something to consider. TRP probably seems optimistic because it is removed from reality. It proposes a simple, linear path to better well being when in reality self development isn’t simple or linear, nor does it guarantee anything. You can follow all the “rules” for success and still fall short. TRP doesn’t acknowledge that, it keeps people going on “maybe eventually my hard work will pay off” instead of “putting this work into myself will make me a more secure and well rounded human being”. Ho…

You can’t address what isn’t visible. Moving backwards isn’t the answer. It’s a crappy place to be in public discourse and understanding. When you see something unfair, call it out and educate, it’s how things progress. Both things can be addressed at once and it’s important that they do because it needs to be seen a a societal issue, not just a gendered one.

It has less to do with naivety and more to do with internalized misogyny. I was like this at one point. If you have a lot of interests that are male dominated, you end up in a spot where both genders are being pretty hostile towards you. Boys being hostile because they treat you like you don’t know the hobby, girls being hostile cause you hang out with boys and aren’t feminine enough. You kinda adopt this weird “women, amirite” persona to fit in with the shitty boys. At the same time, the men yo…

I think that this is attacking a symptom not the root. Being raised female you are less likely to be encouraged to explore your sexual identity. Female sexual identity is avoided in media, and even your peers will attack you for exploratory behavior. A lot of either done know their bodies, or feel discouraged/embarrassed about sharing. I had to deconstruct a lot in my 20s. Additionally a lot of the gap comes from men lacking interest in helping their partner achieve orgasm. That being said, we c…

Yeah it's so weird that when women are allowed to have jobs they can actually make choices based on desire not dependence. Society everywhere is messed up to unattractive people. The genders just face different issues. However I know plenty of "unattractive" men that are very successful in finding partners.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
