It's seductive when a guy comes off as assertiveness vs. aggressive. Assertive is stating how you feel and what you want without attachement to the outcome. Aggressive is being pushy about your agenda without clear consent. Instead of handshaking or just going for a hug, say, "Can I give you a hug?"
