As far as I'm concerned if a woman is hitting a man, she's obviously looking for a fight. And she was. Honestly your words mean a lot to me thanks for the reply. It really is refreshing that both men and women can see the inequality about this. You're right, its bullshit, hitting people is wrong and thinking you can hide behind your gender is deplorable at best. I ended up texting her how I felt and even though she still tried to save face with her apology (that I told her to make public, and I …

That is a great question! Best answer I have is that she hits her brothers when she is back home as just a typical sibling sparing thing. Not sure if they hit back but yeah.

its hard to hold up a double standard when its put into clear terms This is the hardest thing though. People may have clear terms but their bias towards those terms are thick and unwavering. For instance, my dad says I should have let her hit me and not reacted. My brother says I should have not of pushed her back. My other brother (non-boyfriend) agrees with my dad and that I should have gotten hit but just say "no thats mean" Unfortunately their clear terms is that a woman can hit a man withou…

If it happens I will let you know how it goes. I am extremely curious about its end result. Thanks man, really... thank you.

I can survive this, there is no doubt about that. It might take a lot of effort to talk to each person alone about my position, but I will survive it. Honestly I dont know if my brother will ever come to terms with the fact he has been completely changed by his girlfriend. His ex-roommate even mention to my brother that he is different. It just might be one of those things that his girlfriend just runs him to the end. This is not his first manipulative girlfriend, he is blind until its over. He …

She is actually a coworker and a good friend, so yeah if I need to contact her I can easily do it. She even approached me at worked and said she felt incredibly shitty about everything that went down. She even felt bad she couldnt stick up for me as well as she wanted.

When the first argument happened when the parents were present she was too hung over (i assume) to chime in to the conversation. But yeah, I agree I will make sure she is present, which might be tomorrow.

As much as I am tempted to, the concept of bringing the police or lawyers into this scares me because its escalating the situation to that point.

Dude thank you, I appreciate it and unfortunately I am feeling the same way. I feel like I just got back stabbed by them all.

The trick is for no one to hit first. But if someone does not uou, strike back so they will know better then to do it again Yet I was demonized by this at the party and each time I have had to struck her cause she struck me first she does not learn.

Hell yes! Yet almost all of them 100% disagree, at least I am not alone in my thought process.

so next time it happens I will take the high road and simply call the police and have her arrested Holy shit I actually have no idea how that would be taken but I would honesty love to know what their response would be. When it comes up again I am going to ask them if that is what they would have preferred me do.

Fucking right? She is actually fairly large, I mean she does wear it well, but she is larger.

And if I do then I'd be known as the guy who sued his brother's girlfriend... I really dont know if that is the best thing to do.

The whole issue about taking it to a lawyer step is it'll just piss people off more. It'd be escalating the situation and I am on the fence if it is better to just let the flames die down. As for the pepper spray I feel as if that would actually be worse. The paradigm that this situation is is kind of ridiculous, letting it die down is socially easier but it also kind of lets her win.

I completely agree about the brother having a go at me, but I can kind of understand why the other one did not break up with her since its been almost a 2 year relationship. But cunts they are.

My friend's grandmother who was only 37 years older than her gave the opposite advice. Essentially she told her grandchild "find a good one and go for it". I wanted to retort "thats why you are and your daughter had a child at 16".

If you really dont care, and i mean at all, of who you lose it to, than no. My experience is, just do it. If the subject comes up than say it. If not, just do the deed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
