I was just going through a bunch of GLO's old-ish posts surrounding this topic and the Agent Smith affect is real. Either that, they are long-time shill accounts here to keep the narrative on track. Either way, keep doing what you're doing. It's why they show up in the first place.

Another good reason to just get started. Thanks for this.

Perhaps if you feel disconnected, you should make it a project to find new acquaintances who share your values. It's a project that probably won't succeed but you don't have to be scandalised by that fact. The only advice I can give you is don't look where they won't be. Be well, and Happy Christmas, if you do that sort of thing.

I myself are of two minds on this. It could be a testosterone thing due to excessive amounts of alcohol lowers it, and you haven't stimulated its production by working out; it shows on your frame. The other side is that perhaps you are projecting guilt for breaking your devotion. In either case, don't be scandalised but let those experiences be a reminder of the good that you do by staying in shape.

It sounds like they are a lot more discerning. These are just tests but more refined than the Western counterparts.

I myself recommend that heart to heart with him if you can. Another bitter pill to swallow is that people are flawed and may not make the right choice. Don't forget yourself in all of this, though. I am sure it hurts, but you need to understand why and what the next steps are for your life. You've got building to do for yourself, and maybe the take away is the importance of self examination. The world hates men who do that, and that's why it's implied here in the first steps of self improvement.…

I asked my doctor about T levels when I was getting blood work and was told not to worry about it unless I can't get it up. From what I am finding here, that's a bit of an outdated line of thinking, no? Thanks for your testimony on the matter.

As with anything, it's easy to be scandalised if you forget to follow through with building a skill and a part of you just wants to throw in the towel. Tell that part of you that this isn't where you want to cut your losses and try again. If it's valuable to you, write down why. Make it present. We are all rooting for you here.

when you go on a date, go to have fun... You only have to prove shit to yourself This is liberating, truly. Men's problem today is that they don't care enough about themselves. How can you freely give, anyway, of you've built nothing for/of yourself to share?

I think this is why OP differentiates anger and power. That is, one can be refined into the other. There is such thing as assertive anger wherein you use your words, your posture, and overall frame to rebuke some sort of injury towards yourself. You assert yourself after that moment of reflection whether it's a hill with dying on.

Thank you for your reply. I suppose that understanding sexual strategy as amoral doesn't mean we must cast ideas of morality off, even when we see a fallen brother who, in a world not so inundated by social engineering, would be healthy and capable of forming relationships with men and women in his own frame. My original question was just a probe to see how far the Machiavellian stuff went (it's just another tool, I suppose), but I am pleasantly surprised to see a couple of comments from ECs who…

It's a decent frame technique. You are not being lead by every whim and it appears to the other that you have been paying attention. It will take practice if your memory isn't good, but it's a life skill.

Never thought of the autism angle. Was reading some of her articles and the content is pretty decent. I think that I will side with some of the others here and say that her post lacks self awareness (she likely is hit on daily), and there is at least one Brit beta who is hoping she will some day notice him. Still, I think this is a good example of do what they show, not what they say. Get a wardrobe that doesn't consist solely of t-shirt and jeans, and take the initiative. They want to be chased…

Yeah, this chick is at least a 7 in my book. There's something else going on, clearly. Maybe she isn't feminine in her dress or demeanor. Maybe there are no men who are stepping up. She tells us what she wants in the post! She wants to be surprised and for a man to lead. On the other hand, her profile description rings some alarm bells. "Waste of space" and "disappointment" are false humility.

White is supposed to be a truth pill that's good news. Black is often used as the opposite. I have never seen anyone try relating it to the movies. Also, there is no purple pill either. The people on the debate sub are just trying to be radical centrists, but it's frankly lukewarm.

At first, I was thinking the same thing. But the article goes on to give caveats for some behaviours, implying a push-pull dynamic. It was said here once to not apologize unless you have to and you're actually at fault, and to make your compliments outcome independent. Truly, you are where you are because you are authentic in the extent of your skill and aren't afraid to challenge it. Those who are technically more qualified probably aren't opening up to their full horsepower. Can't say exactly,…

This is what I immediately thought about. The Chinese government itself has issues with pornography use. If they actually cared about wahmen they would be protesting the legal ramifications it would have on people when the ChiComs eventually pull the trigger on such a program. Not a peep about sensorship. Can't expect Western values from Vice though.

Thanks for sharing and keep doing what moves you.

This is true. There is a time and a place for these things. The first thing I thought when reading that quote was, "that's why there are so many women in government (and why they are complaining about the US shutdown)". In the wrong place, it's wasteful and disruptive at worst. But as for the family unit, it's paramount for raising a young child.

I think that you may have found your thesis: "what is essential for living?", and deliver your proposal to that question. We are all told that we need this and we need that, and don't question if it's true. This would go well under the Building Power tag. Run a draft by an EC you're unsure. No pressure on sharing, but people wouldn't ask if they didn't see value in it.

I would love to see a post like this. It's amazing how technology has made a mobile life possible. The cynical side of me thinks that leftists want you to have a house so that they know where to find you in order to collect taxes. In any case, it's been said here that men are capable of a minimalistic standard of living. You see that playing out all the time in one way or another. Be well!

A rather wholesome night out with a lot of great experiences. I don't like country music too much but I love the partner dancing aspect. There is a lot to learn from that experience. I had done swing dancing in the past and want to get back into it. Best way to stay sharp in any form is to learn off of YouTube videos. It depends what you mean by "love". To will good for her or mere feefees? For the former, men cannot do that except from a position of abundance. He has to strong, have a purpose, and line himself before he can do things for others. It's like the idea of meekness as well: you can't be respected as meek unless you have the power to be otherwise. Dr. Peterson talks about that. Anyway, the sidebar has No More Mr Nice Guy. It sounds a lot like when Scott Adams talks about hallucination as a projection on reality. Men often get caught up in this as well. I think for us it's learned if there isn't a strong male figure growing up. I have only started recently recognising it in myself and am starting to see it manifest in others. Know thyself, for it's the foundation of frame, which is the antidote to this habit.

All I have to add is that you appear to be a great friend. I admire your patience and frame control throughout. The takeaway from your post for me was to push through emotions and keep doing simple things to improve. I hope your buddy looks back and can appreciate that you, instead of placating the feefees, powered through at the gym and then spent time afterward to enjoy eachother's company. Maybe. In this case, there is a clear master/student dynamic leftover, so the dude might have an aperture for another point of view. Those horror stories have always been about two equals. I think there's a good example here of curing toxicity out of your life and never apologising. This chick was trying to leverage power over you by creating some drama, blaming you for it, and pulling the nuclear card so you'd run back grovelling. Actual friends don't do this shit. They use reason, compassion, and celebrate the good traits in you. Go find buds who will lift, or run, or jam (if you do music), or anything else constructive. The "red pill" principal would be to steer clear of this kind of relationship. Too much baggage being with a single mother. Also, signs of jealousy and control don't pop up out of nowhere. One last thought about red Vs blue: these aren't team colours. It's about awareness of the cultural war against masculinity and what fundamental dynamics between men and women are. Those who take the blue pill are rejecting the notion that things are different than what the media and school tell us. Some peopl…

I am totally on your side. You get out of a situation what you invest. He clearly has no investment in himself, let alone his wife's night out. He didn't lead by example, so it became a free for all for the girls.

Yes, all parties have agency. There is no denial. Since we focus on ourselves as men here, we will point out his poor choices from even before he walked through the door: bad attire, cares more about bread and Circus instead of flirting with the wife and her friends on the dance floor, and finally getting wasted on over priced beer and showing his frailty by attacking some dude who didn't do anything. Men are supposed to lead and he didn't, so the women found their fun through instigation.
/r/TheRedPill21/08/18 07:27 PM

Totally this. The first clue for me was what he was wearing. If you ever end up going to a club, even if it isn't your first choice, dress to kill. Trousers and a jacket could turn that 3 into a 6 out of 10. Up the game with a good shirt and a belt. You appear invested in yourself, or at least the occasion. This guy was neither, so he paid the price.

That's the sad part. He'll be called privileged and he will be blamed for having a bad personality (it's why he's still single, in their minds). He's happy without women and it will bother others. I chose to celebrate the man instead.

That guy is living the dream that he built. May it continue to bear fruit through his unyielding efforts. He's right about everything else. He might have to consider dating girls in their early twenties. Age difference doesn't matter, really. Maturity and value do, and he seems to have a good grasp on that. By their fruits you shall know them!

No, it's not. Both men and women are plugged in and their base natures are exploited by their materialism. Only when the men rediscover value in themselves and work to cultivate it--and their traditional culture has many tools for that--women will also see their value. The good news is that walking away from demanding women points to fact that they believe that they have some inherent dignity. The mistake was putting up with the attitude and letting it cultivate. I suppose they can enjoy the dec…

Some of the most beautiful music was written using a strict parameter of rules. Art with disciplined hands. Without these mores, we end up with that BBC chorus of screeching wamyn and canvases painted white. Utter licentiousness, but not free to make anything of order and value. Rules are imperative to make something of value in life and to set goals (they are the goal post). Anyway, great points!

The problem is that we don't really understand dementia, so I take the last story with a grain of salt. The woman probably lived in some complicated hell where she was simultaneously a teen and an old woman. It was probably impossible for her brain to create new neural pathways to make sense of this situation and she lived in constant stress. Similar can be said about the man. The first story is unacceptable. There are many people morally at fault. I blame the system and the actors therein. Also…

His last line is the most important one of that reply. Many great men would still act as they were acting, even when faced with death, because they were fulfilled by the value they were creating and choices they were making. You don't want to wait for your dying self to make this judgement. There is great liberty in assessing now. Keep walking the path.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe this is something I need to get me started. I am around the same age and I have been dealing with depression as well and just don't feel like I have energy sometimes. What he is suggesting is that when you are unplugged, a lot of presuppositions need to be re-evaluated. The game is amoral, so the question of things touted as moral need to be looked at carefully. Honour is one of those things. What was its original purpose? Can it be used against me or others? Does it represent the ideals of justice? Now we are getting philosophical. The questions are not easy and will take time to work though.

I've seen it recommended here that you do something creative. That is, *make something*. The kitchen is a great place. I'm getting back into bread baking. Build something. Do music. That's a good start, brother. I know from experience that that plugged-in mentality generates one of those wishy-washy responses: "so, uh, maybe this time might be good for you?" That sort of thing has pissed off even my close friends in the past. So, I think your conclusion is on the right track. Get a figure on when she's free, propose the time and place, then wait for her to give you a thumbs up or thumbs down. TRP definitely functions as a surrogate father figure. Because of the collapse of the family, many young men haven't had a masculine role model to teach these dynamics. As another has mentioned in this thread, the delivery here has to be blunt and proscribed so that young men can learn about archetypes again. Only with observation, practice, and time can society change and reorder itself.

Right on the money. The third role is probably the most important. We need to seriously judge (read: assess critically) the outcomes of these works put into practice. I think bringing them to the community is important as well. Sometimes we need a verbal smack on the side of the head if we get caught up in some circular logic. The EC are well versed in dealing that out.

The country or small towns aren't better, just have different problems. They still have access to the same media shoveling the same cultural degeneracy. Vetting is super hard no matter how you slice it. It's a numbers game. Put your values first and the rest should follow.

If you recognise a moment of value in another person, I don't see why you wouldn't engage. An overarching theme that I got from the post is to always affirm your own value. If you're encountering a professional women with more experience, it does not diminish you to glean from it. It's not a zero sum game, which feminism has assumed in its fight for "equal rights". Knowledge is capitalistic: value begets value. Hope that helps.

I think you need to reread this post again. It's fine that you are willing to critique the content, but you haven't even addressed anything there specifically. Broad statements like, "why can't you just talk to her" and "no need to be a bad boy" don't address what was discussed. Here, I will start. The best and the worst of women and men show up in the Bible, especially the OT. Great post. Interesting exegesis. Though many people discount scripture in these days because of those few who deny science and evolution, there are many tools in the Good Book that help us understand ourselves and the way societies go and come around. All in all, we constantly need to put this stuff to the test and see what comes of it. The Endorsed around here constantly call us to engage in our encounters, and I …

A lot of this stuff was iterated in No More Mr Nice Guy: the plugged in mentality of covert contacts, pleasing others to feel accepted, and bringing oneself down all the time. As it's said here, "you are the prize." The mindfulness stuff is pretty good. It's fine to have feelings. Recognise them and use reason to see if they have merit and if they serve you. Emotions are a reaction to the world around you. They are a tool and therefore should not take precedence. Great post. Mental fitness is as…

I have enjoyed watching this conversation unfold but I must know: what are your philosophical influences? What about you? I feel that a lot remains unsaid on your part. This is not an attack. I want to see your perspective and judge what truth there is for me. I respect Rian's posts a lot. He seems very respectful and resourceful, even to the most belligerent.

This is a great digest of Heathcliff's post. I enjoyed reading both of you guys and I think at the bottom of it all is you can't just look, you must also observe. And developing skills takes our whole humanity, not just one aspect of it. So, get out of your head and work these things into your reflex and muscle memory! I shake my head at the above posts reducing it all to hamstering and settling into beta traits. If you let your emotions rule you, you end up acting beta, but development of emoti…

That was a really cool piece of info, that Eternal September. I respect this explanation a lot. Moderation is good. If an idealist wants to hash it out, there's "Purple Pill Debate". Man, I really loved the time recently when the sub was on lockdown. There was no question that the topics would be worth our time or not. I think he's doing that new trendy thing of "disavowing". I definitely agree with you. If I quote Hemmingway or Chesterton, I don't feel the need to tell everyone what I think about their works. I think when it comes to religion it's a reflexive virtue signal: "I'm not a closed minded bible thumper, I just liked that quote. Don't shun me!". It's not any one person's fault.

These are interesting things that you have to say. It also has helped in eclipsing the evils that the communists had done in the twentieth century. Their disdain for the successful and wealthy, and for the treasures of the past brought about the deaths of tens of millions at least. You both have good points, but this is not an instance of either/or but both/and. Caveat! It's easy to get stuck spinning your wheels in reading here. Best to go out and work on yourself. Read literature, lift things, and learn some new recipes. Also, reading how people screw up isn't actually a preventative measure. Wow. Lots to unpack here. Good eating is a lifelong pursuit. I am going to take into account the broths and root vegetables more. I am crazy for garlic and onions and whatnot. Many people here are missing the forest through the trees over your field report. Going, "that's so cringe!" Okay, here's what I see: you don't seem attracted to her and you are looking for a way out of this. Here's the deal: you fell into her frame and made a promise that you weren't sure you could keep. You also broke the text rule (from the sidebar) and used it for chit chat instead of solely arrange plans. That puts her in control yet again. So how are you going to take it back? I totally get that. That's an apt analogy as well. Getting involved in a "community" is another avenue worth trying. When people meet regularly, you can more easily make sure the earth is getting water. Mere social events people come and go. Good luck in your pursuit for genuine friends. I can say I only have a couple.

Loneliness is definitely an internet trope but I sense there is something deeper to this comment. Finding genuine friends is difficult. People from school or work don't often become strong friends. It takes time and energy to find them and also maintain social upkeep. it's all worth it though.

I can appreciate the "pendulum swing" from taste mattering to it not. There's still room for a moderate approach. The thing you're pointing out is that people have a disordered approach to food. That moment of "conversion" is a beautiful thing. The spark of desire for change is a strong motivator. Deleting the junk in your life and cutting your hair is a nice gesture toward clearing the threshing floor. As others have said, don't be scandalized when slipups occur. You're making some radical changes and we're creatures of habit. The old ones aren't going to die overnight, so much of your work is building new habits in place of the old. Men and their families are flocking toward the more conservative communities these days. Be it Orthodoxy, or Traditional Catholicism. Having witnessed both and on reflection, I noticed there were strong masculine traits that are emphasised such as men only in the sanctuary, powerful choral music, discipline toward ritual, and sermons that challenge the laity to take a hard look at how they're forming their lives. Conversely, the more "mainstream" Christianity is all about guitars and feels, ever…

This reminds me of what my conducting professor talked about in his classes. Having a strong posture makes you look like a confident leader. He said to practice "walking with your heart [physically] before your head" and you will part the crowds like the red sea. I practiced it in the streets of Toronto and it works! You don't have to be built, but that definitely augments the effect.
