I'll tell you what worked for me when I was in my late teens and early 20s. The thought of approaching a girl was super nerve wracking but I decided to give it a shot as my friends made fun of me that "no way you could approach her", so I took that as an excuse to just give it a shot. This is a pretty toxic view of women. She WANTS to make him feel that way? That sounds a bit absurd. Women do this because they do not want to engage in this encounter and is the safest way to give off hints without the risk of someone going batshit crazy from a verbal rejection

Take the hint and move on. No questions are boring if she is attracted to you, she will try to make the conversation work and be engaged as well. If she is interested she would be excited. If she's not, then she will do anything to get rid of you, like look at her phone and give you nods and 'yeah' replies like she did. The moment you get this vibe, say "I need to go, it was nice meeting you." and leave. Don't prolong this encounter, for your sake and hers.
