Ngl, if I see a woman alone at a bar I'll usually assume she's just holding the table while her man is getting her a drink or her girlfriends are in the bathroom or something like that. It's usually the case - someone will come back to join her before too long.

Want to be around people who don't see them as human.

Many men do.

The thing is most dating apps have way more men than women on them. Can be as much as like 20:80 women to men. Chances are the guys women are meeting and getting into long term relationships with off dating apps are not truly remarkable in any particular way (the "alpha chad" types who are getting tons of matches on these apps I suspect are largely not settling down into long term relationships off them), but for every one of them there are dozens of other guys who are struggling to get any matc…

I don't see gay men complaining about how hard it is to get laid. I'll leave it at that.

Nope. Depending on state (California being one of them, for example), both could be considered offenders even if they are the same age.

I was suspicious if some of these numbers included, for instance, two 15-year-olds fooling around with each other. In the US law varies from state to state, but at least in some I know that even in cases where two minors of similar ages are together both can be considered statutory offenders. Some have laws that reduce it from being a felony to a misdemeanor, but still a crime nonetheless.

Considering a characteristic of psychopathy is poor impulse control, I may be more inclined to believe that this study says more about their poor contraceptive use than anything. A "Chad" who is with a different woman every weekend but responsibly wraps his willy is still probably going to have less kids than a psychopath who only has one long-term victim to abuse.

I don't think this necessarily contradicts what the above poster said. I imagine most of these guys have still received some form of external validation through some sort of competence even if from an outside perspective their lives look like a mess. I'm inclined to say less intelligent people just have a narrower and less critical perspective on things - more intelligent people are more likely to have higher expectations of where they should be in life and be more critical of themselves for fai…

Male attraction to other males seems to have been rather common and normalized in some cultures such as ancient Greece. Do you suppose same-sex attraction was just somehow genetically more common in that specific time and place, or is it possible that social and cultural influence plays a part in human sexuality? Personally, I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

Attraction is not a choice. I don't choose to not be attracted to men any more than I choose to be attracted to women. It just is how it is. It's not a hard concept to grasp.

I mean being gay would make things way easier for me. I absolutely would be gay if I had the choice, so I would say that yeah, I do actually want to be gay. Unfortunately as much as I wish I could, it's just not in the cards.

At a glance they almost all look the same. Tall (of the ones I checked the shortest was 5'10", most were 6' or above), white (only obviously non-white one I saw was a Chinese actor), most had a beard, all slim except for one extremely buff guy. If you want to point out some you'd say aren't conventionally attractive feel free to do so but just looking at the top posts does not paint the picture that women can find all sorts of men attractive. One specific type seems to be far and away more popul…

Most people who don't have sex also have friends. Friends are just easier to get than sex for most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 09:46 PM

The idea that there's "someone for everyone" is still very common both in media and in popular thought. That's not exactly the same as saying that romantic love is a basic human right, but I can see how it could be thought of similarly.

If you're looking to improve you can't necessarily trust what they say though. They're not going to say anything that could make you upset, leave a bad review, or cause you to not want to see them again. Maybe they might give you honest feedback, but you can never really be sure if they're being honest or if they're just saying what you want to hear so you'll have a good experience and see them again.

I mean I have definitely heard that there are people who refuse to date bisexuals, often because of the idea that they're just too horny and attracted to too many other people and they'll inevitably cheat on you, but I feel like the number of people who hold those views can't make up for doubling the number of potential people you yourself are interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 02:03 AM

Bisexual woman probably. Really surprised by the lack of bisexual in the comments here. Especially when so many talk about having more options - how could you possibly have more options than by being bisexual?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 01:56 AM
5

Exactly. Despite having more choice and opportunity than ever it does seem like young women may be becoming more sexually conservative and abstaining from casual sex. They certainly could be sleeping around if they were more sexually liberal and so inclined, but presumably they're choosing not to: their lack of sex certainly isn't for lack of options.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 12:06 PM
6

Idk if it's necessarily "conservatism," but it does seem like young women may be becoming less interested in casual sex. The way you tell it, women should be sleeping around with Chads while non-Chad men grow into adult virgins. The fact of the matter is, though, that while men on average are having less sex and remaining virgins into older ages, the same is true of women compared to past generations (just at a lesser rate than men). This in spite of them now having online dating to help match t…

Everyone needs external validation. Thinking you're attractive without anyone being attracted to you is like thinking you're strong and fit when you can't even do a single push-up. Confidence without any external validation to back it up is delusion.

Actions speak louder than words. A man isn't going to believe he's handsome, charming, or desirable no matter what anyone tells him if he still can't find any women who are interested in him.

I hear women complain about the quality of sex from their hookups, fwbs, fuck buddies, etc. all the time. IDK why they keep going back to them but, at least from what they say, it's definitely not because the sex is great. Being good at getting sex and being good at doing it or making it pleasurable for your partner are very different things.

I've read posts on Reddit from girls who went out with guys who approached them at the grocery store, at a book store, at the gym, at concerts, at work - anywhere, many of which are places guys are told not to approach at. If a woman is interested she won't care - anywhere is the right time and place. If she isn't interested it doesn't matter - nowhere is the right time or place. There's no way of knowing whether she's interested or not without approaching.

I have wondered if gay men and women are skewing the numbers a bit. I have a hunch that lesbians are more inclined to date each other whereas gay men are more inclined to stay single and hook up with each other. Though I'm skeptical the numbers of the gay population are high enough to make that significant a difference.

I've come under the impression that men fantasize about being James Bond far, far, far more than women fantasize about being with him. My personal theory: a lot of the fictional men women tend to spend the most time falling for have some sort of emotional vulnerability to them. They can be broody or aloof, and might have a traumatic past or some other personality flaw that explains this behavior. They have an aspect of "I can fix him." James Bond I think, at least in most depictions, is perfectl…

Those are all isekai power fantasy anime with more focus on action and fighting than romance or fanservice. Other genres of male-targeted romance/"erotic" anime may have some other insights. In the cliche harem for instance, the main character tends to be an unremarkable, ordinary dude - often a bit of a loser even. He's typically surrounded by attractive women who are all interested in him in some way or another, despite him seemingly having little to nothing to offer them. These women are typi…

As someone who fits the description to a T, I'm inclined to agree. Sex is pretty much the only thing I find fulfilling, and since I have very little of it and feel mostly ignored by women, I think very poorly of myself.

I think it's hard to talk about whether or why men support feminism when it's pretty hard to define what "feminism" is at this point. I suppose in general the idea is that "feminism is the belief that women are equal to men and should be treated as such," but there are very, very many different ideas about what that actually means and lots of arguments about how to go about it. "Feminists" are hardly all in agreement with each other.

Not a Red Piller, so I'll answer with my thoughts here: They most likely used the same "skills" they have as YouTubers to win over these women. A lot of people will give famous or successful YouTubers shit for doing something "anyone can do," but as the millions of YouTube channels with less than 50 subscribers shows, it takes more than just being able to record yourself and post it online to be a successful YouTuber. All of these guys have charisma and humor going for them (you may not agree - …

Those are both rather difficult questions to answer. I find I don't usually "try" to make friends with anyone - it mostly just happens due to shared interests. And I'm not sure what "meaningful relationships" means exactly, but I would say I do, though more with my female friends than male ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 09:35 PM

This is generally what I do. The result is I have a fair number of friends (or at least acquaintances) of both sexes, but no women consider me anything more than a friend.

Personally, I don't see a lot of people just sitting around waiting for people to talk to them in public. They're either going somewhere or waiting for something, and if they're waiting for something they're usually on their phone, listening to music, reading, or chatting with friends. Now, I am legally blind, so it is possible opportunities are abound and I just don't see it, but I can't imagine when one would actually make a "cold approach."

Please tell me, then, how much money does a man need to make before he's "worthy"? How much does he need to have saved up? How many square feet does his house need to be? How tall does he have to be? How much does he need to be able to lift? How expensive do his clothes have to be? What about hobbies? What hobbies does a man have to have and how accomplished does he need to be before he's "worthy"? And how do you even begin to measure things like charm, humor, intelligence, insight, and any sort…

Varies from person to person. Some people love video gaming as a hobby, others find it fucking dull. Some love outdoorsy shit, others don't see the appeal. Hobbies that seem to get shit on as being "universally boring" are things like model train building and stamp collecting, though. But obviously even those still have their fans.

A worthless guy who's okay with himself and really cool about it and happy and lives happily will still not get laid, no matter how confident he is. The unmotivated druggies I see in dysfunctional (yet sexually active) relationships beg to differ. Confidence goes a lot longer than supposed objective "worth." What makes someone "worthy," anyway?

In my experience you've got it backwards: most girls do have an active (not necessarily "amazing," though) social life - plenty of friends to go out with on a regular basis and frequent attention from men. The girls who spend most of their nights home by themselves are a minority. This probably depends on things like age, employment, and education, though.
