It's also important to keep in mind that women are not a hivemind. Some want full equality with men and zero gender roles, while others would rather enforce more conservative practices. One side will always be complaining when the other gains ground- it's not necessarily hypocrisy so much as any huge number of people inevitably having disagreements among themselves. And, on the other hand, plenty of women can be selfish and only want good things for themselves. I doubt that isn't just as common …

But you really only need to have sex with one woman to achieve that particular life goal, and you don't want to go having children with a one-night stand (I assume.) In that case, it would probably serve you better to have a promising career than to be able to lift and party. It sounds like you had different priorities.

College degrees simply indicate that a person was capable of being somewhat reliable, dedicated, and motivated for a four-year stretch of time. It's a better sign of emotional intelligence than intellect, unless perhaps it's something like astrophysics.
