Yeah putting myself out there is the tough part. I just had some brutal time before (like straight up being called chinless), so it's hard to convince myself it won't go badly

From my very specific experience looks definitely do make a difference, but if you don't have the confidence to do anything about the opportunities (which I kinda don't right now), it doesn't matter. There were a few times pre-surgery where I was just ultra confident and had more success than I'm having now.

I actually really like the rugby idea. Our club team says no experience required, but is it a tough sport to get into? I played wide receiver in high school, and since then I've gotten a lot stronger but my conditioning has definitely gotten worse

I did actually rush last spring, but I dropped out because of the cost of the dues. I know it's a lame excuse and they're worth the cost, but I'm paying for college completely on my own, and even with working and saving money since I was 16, I've had to take a small amount of student loans out.
