If Trump stacks the Supreme Court, and actually puts forward his agenda in the Congress this term, then given the disarray and lack of focus in the Democratic party, we could easily be looking at 12 straight years of conservative government. Worst case scenario: by 2054 the Democratic party is replaced in the 2 party system by another conservative party. Changes in Womankind's preferences (or how society allows them to express them) are not the only selective pressure. These men were clearly suitable until very recently. They likely still are. In other species we would expect to see dormant genes begin expressing themselves in response to a reproductive crises. Who knows what that could be.
