Agree with all that mostly, and thanks for reaching out. God DOES expect us to follow the commandments. He gives us the grace to do so, if we ask for it and are receptive. Here is the thing, though. I am dealing with a full scale rebellion. I tend to think its a combination of peri-menopause and BPD, exacerbated by feminist agitprop, culminating in a full blown mid life crack up, with me as the whipping boy. Could also be some form of demonic oppression at work. Who knows? The reasons why don't …

I owe it to myself to not be so certain I am right, that I do not at least consider different points of view. Thats all.

So whats the lesson? Do you think your precipiating a crisis through cheating led to the recovery of your marriage?

Question: the time between when you started kissing other chicks, and your wife found out, there was NO change in her attitude, behavior? Also, just curious, how did she find out?

For big decisions, a wife has the right to be informed, the right to be consulted, and the right to give her opinion. But the husband should have the final say. In some cases involving a near occasion of sins against chastity, like going to a topless joint to console a friend, or keeping company with a female alone, she has a right of veto. IMHO.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. To answer the non-Muslim why I don't just bail now. I stated above my reasons: abuse, adultery, or addiction are the only reasons I would consider it. Generally cruddy behavior, while highly unpleasant, is not sufficient grounds in my book. Also, it would likely leave her with the kids, and without me around as a whipping boy, all the toxic crud she generates would likely land on them, and they don't deserve that. Someone once said "The purpose of dip…

I was always taught the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is an ongoing stubborn refusal to accept Gods grace, and a bloody-minded attitude, a refusal to acknoweldge ones need of salvation, unto death.

If she was ever baptized under the trinitarian formula, with water, she is a Christian. A bad, misinformed Christian perhaps, but a Christian nonetheless. Other than that, what is there to say. She is a material heretic, a feminist, a left wing ideologue pretending to be a pastor or souls. She is a liar. Anyway, Paul said let your wimmen be silent in church.

I wish it were that simple, but this is real life, not a Cosmo article. If all that were needed to fix this kind of problem was flowers, backrubs and a little sweet talk, then 99% of marriages would be blissfully happy and the divorce rate would hover at 2% to cover the true and rare pyschos. Why do you think these subreddits exist at all? I daresay there is not one man in the red pill community who would not gladly apply a “little more honey”, if it would actually make things better. Sad experi…

At the current time, I am not trying to have sex with her. I believe I stated that in my post, because she has let herself go to such an extent that I am not attracted to her. So no, I do not like her very much nor do I respect what she is doing. Her attitude is half way between indifference and contempt. I am a better husband than she deserves right now, but that is how marriage works sometimes. Despite all that, I am willing to give her a chance to clean up her act and get with the program. I …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
