That's the exact same case that came to my mind! It's a shame he only lost a marginal amount of followers and now has moved on as if nothing has happened 🙄

I just can't believe he has his dog on his bio but there's no mention of her there. How sad for her. She deserves better.

How to tell someone they're from the USA without saying they're from the USA. That's utterly sad.

Things that stood out to me: 5 years together and 1 child later and then he decides to "propose". The lack of effort on his part is astounding, and poor OP is absolutely right in feeling slighted. When confronted about it, he does not acknowledge his shameful behaviour and spouts excuses. It's disgusting how men can stay with you for the convenience, while clearly showing signs they do not value you but are content enough in having you waste your life by their side.

That was the exact scene that came to my mind too.

This is a reach, but I hope the wife and the friend ran off into the sunset

Made that mistake for the first and last time a year ago. I never had a FWB before, all the men I'd been with were exclusive committed relationships. I thought it would workout and eventually evolve to something more serious. Guess who got dumped when he got tired? And in the blink of an eye he had a girlfriend doing all the things I wish he'd done to me. Only redeeming thing about him is that he was good in the bedroom.

Same here. Most guys in my area say their hobbies are gym and gaming. That's not good enough! I do both and still have time to do other more meaningful things with my free time.

Exactly! It's shocking how many guys do no effort to at all and expect the world from you. I've been living abroad for a while and I'm baffled at how sloppy the men in my hometown are. No care at all for their appearance.

Yes, I'll be much more watchful for this type of LVM behavior.

That seems ruthless... I like it. What happened on the next day, did you ghost the guy for good?

Same for me, though they're not married yet. I'm tired of being someone's free trial girlfriend. I've been mostly the dumpee, the only time I've dumped a guy it was because he had no attitude and I had to do absolutely everything.

Yeah, I wish I could tell that to my 2019 self. Hope I've actually learned from that and won't be repeating those mistakes.

Oh my God you're so right. Looking back in my latest relationship I felt that uneasiness right at the beginning. But I was lonely and decided to bury my head in the sand and ignore the red flags. Dump fall for potential, my new mantra.

Hmm, didn't know that. Even so I think that's a risky quote to use, I'm sure there are dozens of less off-putting ones.

Just unmatched a guy on Tinder who in the first 5 messages exchanged wrote about: How he didn't finish college but was "a chef, an activist and many other things". How he struggled most of his life with depression and decided to embrace his hero complex. And finally about the autobiography/social commentary he was writing. What sane woman would want to get into a relationship with that?

"Can take a joke" = I will neg you I don't think he should be worried that a woman will last less than 15 minutes...

Yeah, I find this so strange! The past few months I entertained so many LVM (and I wish I knew FDS) and now that I'm taking a break to enjoy the holidays without drama, three acquaintances slid in my DMs and are tripping over themselves to talk to me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
