Per the usual, no control groups (did not ask both men and women about the behavior of both men and women to compare) and vague, all encompassion definitions to boost the numbers (in this case they even added hearsay), are 2 of the 10 fundamentals of feminist research

Feminist have known this for decades. This is why they had to invent “benevolent sexism”. So even when women are favored, it can be categorized as mistreatment if women. guide to feminist research

“It’s true that women historically had fewer rights…” I disagree with your initial premise. This is a widely parroted trope that is believed due to repetition of the claim rather than evidence. And any evidence that has been provided is almost always cherrypicked, taken out of context, or comparing upper class men or even royal men to peasant women. You can’t look at Alexander the Great and use him as an example of men’s status, when a man back then would be a million times more likely to be one…

The so called measures of gender inequality are designed to ignore inequality favoring women A few tricks they play: - inequality is defined to only count if women are at a disadvantage - women outliving men by 5-10 years set as par (equality baseline) - rationalize or simply ignore anything that disproportionally harms men, such as academic performance, workplace death/injuries, health care funding (or any gender based funding really), military casualties, divorce laws, etc.

“We cannot deny our responsibility.” Speak for yourself. I’ve never committed a single violent crime. And as such am not responsible for any other person’s violence (man or woman). If you feel you cannot deny your responsibility for violence/murder, then go turn yourself in and demand you be given the corresponding prison sentence. If you don’t do this then you are in fact denying your responsibility for said violence.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 01:37 PM
1

You completely missed the point. I’m precisely NOT arguing women are responsible for infanticide, because that behavior is exceptional. Same with men. Only a small subset of men (and people in general) commit a single violent crime in their entire lives. The vast majority of men never commit a single violent crime. In addition, the much more common male behavior towards women is the opposite: they will readily put themselves at risk to ensure the wellbeing of women. So it’s wrong to assign respo…

Not men as a whole. A tiny percentage of men. Would you say women, and particularly mothers, are a threat infants because the people who commit infanticide are almost 100% women?

You ignored my explicit explanation that there is another sense in which children are innocent that doesn't apply to adults. Adults have a far better understanding of what is happening to them and around them. Adults have far more agency than children. They are self sufficient. Children are not. They depend on others for survival in a way that does not apply to adults. Hence they don't have the option to fight back or run away from adults. They are at the mercy of the will of adults around them …

Are you serious? Have you ever met a child? You seriously think an adult has the same innocence as a toddler? 1) Children are far more innocent than any adult. An adult who is drafted is not inherently innocent like a child. He’s innocent when it comes to the draft or in the sense that he hasn’t done anything to justify this treatment. But he’s not innocent in the sense that he doesn’t understand the world around him or reality. 2) Children have far less agency than any adult. Essentially zero c…

I agree the killing of children is worse, and hence justifiable to give them a separate mention. Regarding the 157 adults killed, allow me translate what these kind of headlines are really saying: “We don’t want anyone to be killed, but if people are gonna be killed… it would be preferable if they were all men.”

This statement is as misleading as “the majority of crimes are committed by blacks”, or “the majority of infanticide is committed women”. It’s a logical fallacy. If most members in group A are from group B, this does not imply most members of group B are also in group A. All violent crime is committed by roughly 5% of the population. Crimes are not committed by men as a group, or blacks as a group, or women as a group. The vast majority of people never commit a single violent crime, regardless o…

Well that’s the point. The definition of STEM is vague. So when doing these “studies” showing there are few women in STEM they can include and exclude to their own liking. This is how biology, medicine, psychology, anthropology are excluded (all female majority with very large populations), while economics and comp sci are included (majority men with small populations). As I said, if you a priori exclude the fields with lots of women, you will find that there few women left. And you seem to be d…
/r/MensRights24/11/24 05:09 PM

Is economics STEM? Cuz it’s often included when looking at gender disparities… but other social sciences typically not. Can you guess what is the only social science that is majority men? How about computer science? Is that STEM? If biology is not STEM, why should comp sci be included? Answer: one is majority female, the other is majority male.
/r/MensRights24/11/24 04:05 PM
4

Biology alone does. Then you can then add the soft sciences (which not 50/50… they’re largely female majority) on top of that. And it’s not just a few soft science… soft sciences are some of the most common majors. Physics and math are not popular majors. Even among men. Did you even read my explanation? I even gave a link to a talk with the data showing this.
/r/MensRights23/11/24 11:39 PM
20

You’re doing the same thing. You’re cherry picking the fields with more men and excluding the ones with more women. Yes physics, math, engineering, and comp sci have more men. But chemistry is 50/50. Biology, medicine, and soft sciences all have more women. Why didn’t you use biology as your example? Is it not a STEM field? And why did you only count engineering with hands on work? Are you saying those other engineers aren’t real engineers? In fact biology is by far the largest STEM field. It is…
/r/MensRights23/11/24 04:49 PM

It is in fact a myth that women are a minority in STEM. They force this narrative by excluding fields (such as biology and medicine) from their data. While in general such deliberate tossing of data is considered academic fraud, they get away with this because the definition of STEM is not precise. Although excluding biology is definitely a stretch.

I think your confusing 1st 24 hours of life with 1st year. Hospitals keep mom and child more than 24 hours after delivery. And over the 1st year.infanticide is almost 100% by a woman. 50-60% by its mother. As far as the man killing his pregnant wife, we run into the same logical error: very few men do this. Just as very few women kill babies. What’s telling here though is that you blame the hospital when a woman kills a baby (ignoring the case where the woman is not the mother). And not the woma…

Killing infants: not all women, but always a woman… usually its mother. Now follow the same (il)logical reasoning.

The only people who do not stand to benefit from a paternity test are a woman who cheated and a man who intends to bolt. If the woman didn’t cheat, it benefits her as it is legal proof that the man has a responsibility to the child. And of course the baby benefits as well by having the record set straight immediately. It’s a win for everyone and anyone who is honest and not trying to shirk responsibility. There is only one reason for a woman to be opposed to it. And same goes for a man.

Women will have to stand next to strangers and go through TSA?!! The horror the horror! No one could possibly expect an adult woman to have the mental fortitude to handle the presence of a stranger! For their own well being they should never be in public! /s I do like that she acknowledges TSA lines are inhumane though. Now why don’t you push to get rid of them?

1) the patriarchy doesnt exist. 2)The overwhelming majority of victims of violence in the world are men. Therefore even if you believe it exist, the answer is not only no, but if anything it appears to actively protect women from violence.

I beg to differ. It’s important to emphasize the inclusion of women among other dead. This makes it clear that it’s worse to kill 3 women than 60 men, and that the primary injustice here was the loss of those women. If the men are not mentioned, this key info that women’s lives are more valuable is omitted. All the reader knows is 3 women were killed. Which of course everyone agrees is an outrage and injustice.

You need a lesson in feminist research. The correct headline is “Iran executes 63 people, including 3 women.” And then elaborate on misogyny, women’s oppression, and The Patriarchy.

It’s not just less responsibility. It’s the justification for it. They are often absolved of responsibility via the argument they lack agency or are impressionable of some sort. That’s infantilization. Other are expected to supervise they’re safety on the same basis. That’s infantilization. I will say though, the term is actually not appropriate, because infants often have more agency than women are given in order to not be held accountable. Literally the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports used to claim there is a gender gap explicitly say they are not accounting for differences in jobs, education, age, hours worked, or anything for that matter. It’s just the median income of all women divided by the median income of all men. So the sources used to claim there is a wage gap are explicitly saying otherwise. 7th grade math + basic literacy is all you need to disprove the wage gap

According feminists own studies the answer is yes. This is the origin of the term “benevolent sexism”. They set out to prove how sexist the world was towards women, but kept finding people were nicer, more polite, more helpful, more considerate, and more compassionate towards women. But this is in clear violation of the 1st commandment of feminist research. So they invented a new type of sexism, so that no matter the behavior, sexism was against women.

The thing to point out, which is always the case with affirmative action, the self congratulating host didn’t volunteer his own spot to a woman. I think to the extent that men view women as irrational, they view men as stupid in the sense that they are "socially oblivious". And both come from the way men and women interact within their own gender. Men generally communicate much more directly, while women communicate much more with subtle indirect cues and innuendo. As a result, when communicating between the genders, in women's eyes, men are oblivious to what's obviously really going on, and in men's eyes women are irrational and sociall…

Dont forget health care funding. The federal government has about a dozen offices of women’s heath. Then there’s all the state offices. There are 0 for men. I left academia for this exact reason. If you don't plan on staying in academia, where you'll be surrounded by feminist administration, DEI dogma, and feminist groups (if you're willing to put up with it or fight it then there is no issue), then don't bother with the PhD. Get a masters and get out of there. You only need a PhD if you want to be a professor. Anywhere else, the degree can easily be made up for with the experience you gain working instead of getting the PhD.

This is a false premise. women are actually the majority in STEM. When people try to show otherwise they have to use the vagueness of what counts as a STEM field to excluded all the STEM fields with lots of women (eg biology). I think you’re grossly amplifying the effect of religion on people’s behavior. Plus which religious values are you talking about? Many religions allow polygamous relationships. I used to believe that but apparently women outliving men is a phenomena that started around the turn of the 20th century…due to modern technology (i.e. not nature). Prior to that life spans were about the same… although there were cultural variations, mostly determined by the amount of warfare. Also you can’t say that’s natural until all sociological factors have been set equal. Currently most soldiers are men, dangerous jobs are mostly done by men, most homicide victims are men, most homeless …

Perfect example of commandments IV and VIII of feminist research: selectively sampling from a sub population likely to get the results you want, and then representing the sample as representative of the whole: they first screened for and only included men showing signs of sexual aggression. And all encompassing category designed to inflate the numbers, which when concluding is then presented as high numbers for a very narrow part of that category: the numbers presented did not measure incidents …

DING DING DING! And the answer is #2! It’s actually really easy to make it seem like female perpetrators are almost always acting in self defense. Most DM between adults takes place in mutually (and consensual) abusive relationship. I.e. two abusive people who seek out abusive relationships… mainly because they were abused as children and now view that as normal, or even evidence of caring (not abusing is viewed as indifference). One sided abuse is exceptional (among adults). Especially long ter…

There are no arguments against empirical data. Even feminists know this. So instead of arguing against it, they rationalize it, or argue that it’s not the same, or that it’s justified when women are the perpetrators. E.g. when women do it it’s in self defense, or it doesn’t count because when men do it it’s part of a patriarchal system that abuses women, or that because women have historically lived under the thumb of violent men (a completely false claim made by cherry picking only the worst be…

One key component of proper scientific research that journalists and media constantly overlook is repeatability. When looking at hiring studies comparing men and women, the results are all over the map. Sometimes favoring men, sometimes women, and sometimes neutral. This strongly suggests that there is no bias either way, and what’s being measured is just randomness or noise. Especially if the study is small. Also, even if you do find an effect when holding all variables except one fixed (gender…

Benevolent sexism is an invention by feminist researchers when, after setting out to prove how mistreated women were in general, kept finding that people treated women better than men, they were nicer to women, and often gave special care to women. This result contradicted their claims of The Patriarchy oppressing women, and cultural misogyny, and so could not be allowed. That’s sort of the point. What counts as stem not well defined. And sometime social science is counted as stem (when the research is not about women in stem of course). But biology is usually excluded when dealing with women in stem, and that is certainly a stem field by all definitions used. And that’s all that’s needed to make women the majority. Basically stem is being defined as fields with few women in order to prove there are few women in stem.

Women have been the majority of college students for over 30 years now. Even in STEM fields (The myth and fraud of few women in STEM). And they are not vastly outnumbered among professors. Even if they were, that in no way implies that they are discriminated against, or mistreated in any way. Why is that a problem? Is it a problem the most nurses are women? Do we need a Men in Nursing organization to boost male participation? Actually the Supreme Court recently ruled the SS to be unconstitutional, but nothing has changed. And it probably won’t because the lawyer in the case was recently murdered. By that reasoning it’s it’s impossible for a government to violate human rights by definition.

If they were objectively looking at data it would be considered first and gender issue, then an age issue, and thirdly a race issue. Oh yeah, that was an old video that used to be on youtube many years ago. and it reappeared recently. But it goes to show that feminism is an ideology. As abuse has to be the result of patriarchal oppression, which is what the Duluth model (used as the standard world wide now) says. But even the woman who came up with it has admitted that in her entire career working with DV, she has never found any evidence to support it. But it's in the system now.

It hasn't changed. It was extremist form the start. As explained by Camille Paglia. If anything it's gotten more moderate in order to appeal to more people. Yes. For a couple reasons. Gender roles are not inherently bad. What makes women feel special and what makes men feel special are often different. So if you like the girl, make her feel special in the hopes that she will be appreciative and reciprocate in her own way. If she doesn’t then find a different girl. But good relationships are not created by two people waiting for the other to take the initiative. If she’s a feminist, you shouldn’t be on a date with her in the first place.

To be fair, your edit was a bit on the nose and had no sources. Try rewording it and linking to the wiki page and/or citations on the “women are wonderful effect”; and maybe adding some citations to studies finding women show in group bias, and men show out group bias. Or studies that find men’s brains have no mechanism for identifying as being part of the “male group”. Wiki’s “women are wonderful effect” page already has some of those things cited, so you can find a few there already.

The Australian gov did a similar thing with name-blind resumes to demonstrate how women were being discriminated against, and found that it was actually men who were hindered by having a man's name on their resume. Instead of acknowledging this, the reinterpreted the results as evidence that affirmative action was working and recommended keeping names on resumes.

The wage gap figures are comparing median incomes between all men and all women. The reports clearly and explicitly state that they are not comparing men and women with the same job. I haven’t read all the comments, but I have seen some strange assumptions about African cultures (more along the lines of ignorance than anything else). But since I made the original post I would like to clarify, that my criticism of BLM movement (which is made up of people of all races) is in no way a criticism of black people or cultures; just as criticism of feminism (which is made up of men and women) does not imply criticism of women.

/r/MensRights07/06/20 05:59 PM

I don’t read that at all. Especially since the idea of dismantling the nuclear family has always been a core feminist tenet that has resulted in so many fathers being removed from their children, and is just as prevalent in race studies as in gender studies. If they were really saying that, then they would have also said that families don’t need mothers to be good families and included fathers in their group of people they aim to help.
/r/MensRights07/06/20 04:52 PM
5

No. First off there is no such thing as African families, as Africa is made up of hundreds of different cultures. And in all of them the norm is to have a father in the family. Even matrilineal families have fathers, just as patrilineal families have mothers. Jewish families for example are matrilineal. That doesn’t mean jews don’t have dads or don’t want them.
/r/MensRights07/06/20 04:44 PM

“We disrupt the western prescribed nuclear family” is literally the first thing it says. Then they say they want to care for mothers, parents, and children. They go out of their way to exclude the word father.
/r/MensRights07/06/20 04:40 PM

So they want to support families with no fathers by "disrupting the nuclear family"? "Mothers and parents"... Either you say mothers and fathers, or you just say parents. They went out of their way to omit fathers.

It all depends on the specifics of the question you are trying to answer. Different question warrant different controls, and different stats. Are you asking, who is more likely to be killed? or who gets killed most often? or are the police targeting a particular group? There is no one stat that will answer all of those. You have to control for various correlating factors (which are not always obvious to find). Lets say you want to know about innocent people being killed by the cops. First off, s…

The rule is very simply and unambiguous: Female sexuality is beautiful, pure, loving, sensitive, and liberating. As such it should never be constrained or criticized in any shape or form, as this would be oppressive and detrimental to women's well being. Male sexuality, on the other hand, is perverse, animalistic, predatory, immoral, and criminal. As such it must be suppressed and punished at all times.

I haven’t but I’ve seen some of his talks about it. Obviously his analyses is more thorough than my video which is mainly illustrating that the 70 cents on the dollar has nothing to do with comparing men an women with the same job as it is often presented.

Nah we all know the rules: 1) Only gender differences that shine women in a positive light and/or men in a negative light are inherent to gender. Any other gender differences are inherent to the patriarchy. 2) You can't fight a feminist with reason and logic, they are immune.
