Yes they're legally enforceable, I believe they have to sign wavers and they get paid to be on television. Also she is, in fact, an actual judge (apparently).

As a larger guy I'd probably react the same way to somebody attacking me, I wouldn't even see the persons gender I'd just be pissed and aim to stop them or destroy them, whichever came first.
