The statistic may be true overall, but it doesn't account for important factors. Women work different (usually lower paying) jobs than men. Women don't ask for raises as much as men. Women take more time off for doctors appointments and for families and work less hours in general. All this shit adds up people.

So how powerful are restraining orders? Do they affect you if the person you need to stay away from approaches you, not the other way around? If I am legally required to stay 100 yards from person A, and they live next door or walk in my neighborhood, would I be forced to move?
