Definently many more men served in ww2, but many women also fought in WW2. In the Great Patriotic War, nearly 800,000 women served in the Red Army. They fought as aviators, snipers, tankers, and more. One woman, named Lyudmila Pavlichenko became a sniper after her boyfriend was killed by the Nazis to get revenge. She went on to kill more than 300 Nazis. There was another Ukranian woman (her name escapes me) who sold everything she had to buy a tank: she wanted to avenge the death of her husband.…

It has a very western centric bias. As far as I can tell, it doesn't consider countries like Mongolia, Vietnam, and China. All of which are led by men and have few cases and deaths compared to western countries. Especially when we consider that the disease sprouted in China, so China had much less time to respond than countries like Germany, which still managed to have twice as many cases and deaths as China with a far smaller population.
