He's 20 and I'm 32. I'm too old for him but he messaged me on a dating site initially and when I said I'd prefer someone closer in age, he told me he is suicidal due to being alone and pressed me to give him a chance. I thought I'd give him a try but he is ruining my self esteem with his ex and he also doesn't allow me to interact with men in a professional work environment. I initially felt guilty like I should work on our relationship but I do not want to sacrifice my mental health.

Thank you Becky. I think this is the last straw. I consider myself a reasonable and patient person but he is intentionally trying to bring down my self esteem and it is working. I do not want to be part of this. He threatened to kill himself if I leave him but he chose to keep bringing up his ex although I told him multiple times it hurts to hear those details of their relationship.

And today he was messaging again about his ex going into details about romantic stuff they did and saying he wants to show me all the places he went with her. I have told him multiple times it hurts when he puts images and forces me to look at pics but he won't stop. I may have to leave for my sanity because he refuses to stop showing and talking about her and he said I'm toxic and manipulative for not wanting to hear those details.

Thank you very much for saying you are here for me. Sometimes I feel self conscious posting here because I know I'm a bit stupid sometimes :( That is a very valid point you make. It's hard to predict if this would happen or not. It is something to think about.....thank you for bringing it up.

Thank you very much for your response. That makes a lot of sense how you and your husband continue to learn and discover each other. I agree and I do want to be with Ruslan but I will have to work on my coping skills for the anxiety I sometimes experience in this relationship. I hope he will be open to professional help. It really shocked me when he said I was pretending to love him just because I expressed one thing and said he was leaving me. He is capable of saying some pretty nasty things th…

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my situation. You are absolutely right. It makes me feel like I'm walking on eggshells to be told we are breaking up an thn oh never mind i love you. It feels like empty words that he jumped to leaving because of one small comment i made. It is weird because before this, he told me how he is do happy every day because of me, then turns around and says he's miserable every day. When I asked what exactly I do that bothers him, he didn't say anything spec…

Hi there, I'm quite honoured you've commented as I've seen your comments and posts and I like what you say! I think you are quite right in that there are serious issues. Thank you very much for taking the time to break things down for me. Whilst I do not want to leave him, I am willing to continue dating without necessarily marrying right away as that would be for life. He sort of surprises me with stuff like wanting to live together ASAP and other things. I will keep observing and seeing if he …

Hey Is this because of what he said to me or because he used to be suicidal? I do think what he said was pretty mean but I was hoping he could try to think before he speaks:(

He did say he was suicidal before getting into a relationship with me but doesn't want to discuss it further. I want to help him. Seems sort of unhealthy that he is relying on me as his only source of happiness though :(

I love him and really wanted his name on my arm so I could see it. I kept telling myself to wait longer but we are every talking about forever and so I thought let me just do it now. I also knew it would make him happy and he was really happy when I surprised him with this gesture.

Good morning. Agreed. Fortunately he stopped pushing me with moving in and apologised profusely. I do agree the tattoo thing is crazy but I couldn't wait any longer.

Thank you so very much and I'm sending love to you as well! Asking my parents about safety precautions is a good idea. Thank you for not thinking I'm an idiot. You make a really good point on how I have not had positive experiences to compare this to. I guess I will continue observing and seeing!!!

No! Of course I don't think you're being mean. I know you care and that's why you've written the thorough comments and it means so much that you care! I will think about the points that you made. Regarding the inheritance, Ruslan knows he wont have access to that money. Any man that marries me will have to sign a prenup and frankly I'd feel unfeminine if I had to contribute financially in a marriage. I plan on starting an animal sanctuary with the money and have talked to my parents about this. …

Thank you for your concern. Fortunately my parents have enough to last me the rest of my life, whereas when I get married, my husband will support our family. My boyfriend actually has a full time job and agrees to my traditional views.

You're right that I'm a bit of a pushover with my professional contacts. The good news is my parents financially support me so I just work for fun. I get what you mean and I tried to wait with the tattoo but I wanted to get it so bad. I don't find him immature apart from the not allowing me to have interactions with guys. You would not be the first to say I sound like I'm in high school xD

You aren't being harsh. I think you are right, my dad always used to say people have to get to know each other. Before Ruslan my relationships were always very physically abusive because I was getting in relationships with men I'd just met that day because they looked good. At the same time I am all in and hoping this is the real deal.

It is his first relationship. I agree that it is crazy fast that I got this tattoo. It just feels so right. I connect with him deeply because he says romantic and sweet things and makes me feel he completely accepts me. I am considering therapy though for some support due to moving to a new country. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you very much for the kind words. Yes I'll bring that up to him about the income. Yes I know it seems crazy but I am sure we will be together forever so I went ahead and got his name. This is the only name I have as a tattoo by the way.

I had a look at the texts. It sounds OK to me like he was not talking about actual porn, but you know how some people say food porn. I guess he just meant girls can be wary that men are after sex only when complimented on their looks early on, it made me wary as well. At the end of the day see how you feel! Hope you find your match!

Hi there. First of all good luck to you and your Husband as you embark on your journey of starting a family! Thank you for your concern. I am very sorry to hear that your cousin got a divorce :( It is a topic I will revisit with my boyfriend going forward.

Ahhh gotcha, thanks for explaining. I don't really expect him to bring in a lot of money but I'm happy to live modestly. No, he's got aunts and uncles. I'm hoping his parents will be OK, they have told me that I've brought him out of his shell and seems a lot happier and that they thought he was too shy to meet a woman so maybe they will let the kids thing slide xD let's see how it goes....

Thank you for explaining. Whilst it's possible some people don't truly love their older partners, I don't assume that about my boyfriend. We both don't want kids.

Those are good points. I admit I'm pretty emotional at the moment. Yes I'm talking about supporting him and me. What do you mean by his peak? Like physically? Ah you could definitely be right about his parents, he's also an only child...

You're so nice :) My parents have always had a laissez faire attitude, like as long as he's nice and respects you and holds a job etc. They haven't met him though and he doesn't speak any English so they've only heard about him through me.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/21 11:31 AM

That's a good idea. For me it's more like 2 years and he said he was thinking one year but for me the limit would have been 2 years. I feel like our personalities match quite well and he accepts me. I have not felt this way with other men. Hmmm his parents seem to like me so far but I see your point on how they might have wanted him to be with a younger more fertile woman. Hmmmm

Personally I think it's strange to assume something is a fetish, my parents married when my mum was 30 dad was 21. Seems a bit unscientific to me but I respect your view.

I'm confused why you assume he has a fetish without his behaving that way and why someone couldn't simply like someone else for the person they are.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/21 06:27 AM
1

I'm confused why it's not possible to like someone as a human and not just see their age? Maybe I'm biased but my parents married when my dad was 21 and my mum was 30 but I would've thought people can see each other as humans and not assumed such things.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/21 06:26 AM

Do you mean having kids? I am child free.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/21 01:10 AM

Thank you for the warning. Can it still be a fetish if no sex is involved? He wants to stay abstinent until marriage for religious reasons.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/21 01:09 AM
17

You could be right but his parents have mentioned to me it's his first relationship and he actually wants to remain abstinent til marriage due to religion..... But anything is possible.
