It is mostly about looks, but looks can be improved. Go to the gym get lean, start taking meds if you’re balding, whiten your teeth, get a tan. Everyone on this sub likes to pretend they were born with a horrible deformity and that there’s no way they can improve their physical appearance but 99% of the time it’s a cop out because they’re lazy and they don’t want to improve their physical appearance they just want to complain.

You 100% can give up dude. If you aren’t having any success from the apps and you find that they’re actively making you more upset and harming your mental health you can 100% absolutely stop using them and go back to trying to meet girls in person the old fashion way. All I can tell you with 100% surety is that if she is as hot as you are making her out to be, she will have tons of other guys available to her as back up options. This is dumb and I guarantee you you’re going to look like an idiot if you keep asking “can I hug you, can I hold your hand, can I fix your hair”. Consent can be implied and as long as OP isn’t sending Hail Marys it’s usually easy to tell if someone is comfortable with physical touch.
