I don't think those are wild wolves. There are probably too many in the enclosure. An even better explanation is that they're probably not a relocated pack but combined packs creating an even more unnatural set of behaviors.

St John's Wort does something similar to SSRIs. I tried to go off my meds and it seemed to be okay. I don't remember how it affected libido, though.

Exactly this. If you have to alpha roll the dog three months down the line for the same behavior you haven't eliminated the behavior. Operant conditioning with positive reinforcement would have cleared up the behavior quicker.
