I am so angry reading this so I can only imagine how you feel. I think I'd be in prison. You're right though, if women can choose to not have the baby then men should be able to choose not to support. At least that way we can't be held hostage.

If it's civil court there's a lower standard of proof. It's the balance of probabilities, which could easily be argued means that he is a guy therefore he likely did what he has been accused of, and she is a woman who wouldn't lie. It's a pretty black and white way of looking at it, but it does feel like that a lot. Even if a criminal court has returned a verdict of not guilty, the civil court could say they did it and force them to pay stupid sums of money.

I'm not sure, but a divorce doesn't include a financial order and without one, they could still go after each other's assets.

Better than what I would do. I'd be posting all over Facebook to any group how she was a kiddy fiddler or something. If she is trying to destroy a life for no reason, and the law is not designed to help, may as well. Obviously not a good thing to do, but I know i would have the need to lash out at such life destroying behaviour.

Alan Davies as host wouldn't be good. He is better as the one pretending to be an idiot rather than an insufferable, loveable know-it-all.

I like the phrase "at least half". True equality.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
