Don't ever give up video games for a woman. That's not what I'm getting at at all. Give up video games to make room for growth, experiment and education in your life. Having something that sucks up so much of your time with no return drains you of having any real tangible skills. This point will be lost on most people here because you fail to realize the harmful effects of escaping reality constantly.

It would be sick if someone actually read the post. I clearly wrote that this post is for people like me who are ADDICTED to video games. If you spend hours a day on video games you need to control that shit. This isn't about giving up what you enjoy it's about giving up what might be a problem. Don't get your panties twisted.

This post isn't for you. Most gamers are addicted and play much more than they should.

This is ideal, but selling it takes time and you might just convince yourself to keep it after a while.

Take a boxing class or something similar that you're interested in! I've recently started bouldering and it gives me way more stimulation/ adrenaline than video games ever have!

Drawing, writing, cleaning and meditating are tangible and beneficial skills. They're a way to express yourself creatively, attain peace of mind and keep your space from looking like a disaster.

I feel very guilty because so many people older than me tell me to enjoy being young and I really don't. I really dislike my life, and I feel bad for not doing more with my young years. When I'm old my stories will be about staying home alone on weekends and working out or playing video games. People just don't like me much.

I'm only just beginning to change my personal finance situation. I used gambling, alcohol, reckless spending and drugs to cope with problems for a very long time and it really drained me mentally and financially. I lost my father when I was 12, and really had no proper male guidance for my teen years plus I really fucked the dog when I was younger by barely passing school and not caring about my future. Now I'm paying for it by having absolutely no clue what to do in the real world and it's pret…

You're right, networking is so important yet I do none of it at all. I need to get out more. I know a career will never be perfect but i want something that I can tolerate. I want a job that I don't mind being at so that I can bust my ass, put in extra hours and make good money. I've been considering sales, since it'll give me business skills for later on and help me build social skills.

I agree that my best opportunity is in the trades atm, but I really don't feel fully satisfied doing trades work. I like working in the trades because of the masculinity of the job (ripping down walls, concrete drilling etc.) but I don't feel that it stimulates me mentally or socially enough. I was happiest in my first job (pizza place, working with awesome people my age, and then delivering and socializing with customers) I love talking to people but I have self esteem issues and anxiety that b…

I appreciate the response, I'm sticking with it for now but I'm only getting about 25 hours a week even though I ask for more. The only reason I got this job at all was because I know someone who knows the owner and it's very hard to find other jobs. I also feel like I'm wasting time working as an electrician if I know I want to be doing something else eventually.

Makes sense. I think I've been so focused on my ego. I just want to get laid to show myself and my ex that I can still get girls. But that's the wrong reason, that will get me nowhere.

Deal. That's my goal for now.

Would you suggest monk mode then? I've had the urge to just improve my game and get laid but not sure if that's the right thing to be doing

The thing is that I'm aware of this. I'm only just starting on TRP. I'm trying to destroy my beta mindset but it's a hard transition when I was a codependent loser for so long

I'm trying to forget her, this was my oneitis though. I can't forgive myself for being such a beta, I fucked it up and I feel like shit for it. I just can't seem to get over her. It's been two months and she's been whoring it up while I'm still sad and thing about her everyday. I know it's pathetic

I know it's not worth it, but I'm not over her yet and it sucks. She doesn't give a fuck and I'm still hurt as fuck over it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
