I am now pretty sure I’ll be starting my son (now 2 and a half) a year late in school. He’s very intelligent, emotionally and just generally and not delayed at all, but he’s super energetic (as a 2 and a half year old child should be) and has a big personality and I could easily see that being labeled as problematic. Between the sexes, the lower earnings of women over a lifetime is usually attributable to women taking longer/multiple maternity leave, reducing hours at work due to childcare, etc., while men generally take less parental leave. Women should have several months of mat leave and so should fathers.
