1	Why do some men slut shame? Not sure why you're downvoted. As I said women's promiscuity and civilization seem incompatible. Women were often the reward for men for working. Work has historically been seen as an indignity best avoided. The ability for a man to be certain his children were his own, was a major motivator for mobilizing men. 1	Why do some men slut shame? It's amazing that no one has pointed out the obvious here: to discourage women from being sluts. Shame can be an excellent tool for enforcing social norms. No civilization has not gone into decline after relaxing sexual restraints on women. No civilization has been built w/o violently imposing sexual restraints on women. 2	Do women judge men's sexual past? I don't support all of what IllimitableMan said, but double standards are to be embraced when people aren't the same. Standards for the military, police, firefighters are not the same for example and there would likely be no women in these professions if they were.
