Same stupid shit as "NO SLAVERY TILL THE WHITES SHIPPED EM OFF". Pretty sure most cultures in history participated in slavery of some kind at some point, probably mostly of their own people. I'm not too well versed in history but I remember that being a pretty regular occurrence.

I know that feeling too man. Trick is to focus on yourself, make yourself into a successful, interesting and good person and the people will come to YOU instead of you having to go to them.

I'd say that to start with, you seem dissatisfied with life as is it and wanting to constantly chase more and more. It's good that you have some idea of solid goals, because otherwise that feeling may never leave and even when you get to where to originally wanted to be, it still won't seem enough. Secondly, recognise you have already achieved a LOT. A stable income, college degree AND solid goals for the future (PLUS 2 FUCKIN LANGUAGES GOD DAMN) is more than the average person can drum up in th…

I understand this sentiment. I've felt it before and it stings until you learn to keep perspective. Keep in mind that you've had one conversation with this girl, essentially a total stranger (both ways, to her and to you). Why should she care about you at all? How many people d'you think in your life have had a conversation with you, thought you were great but didn't show it at all or say anything, then felt dejected because you didn't give them the time of day? I guarantee that number is more t…

"Ah this person doesn't agree with me, better lump them into an easily definable category so I don't have to think about why I might be wrong" Keep that level of integrity up my man. It'll do wonders for your growth as a human being. I mean, who needs change when you have all the answers, right?

Sorry to hear that OP. From the brief description you gave it didn't sound like you guys clicked, or at least there were some things that you couldn't move past. If she wasn't willing to sit down and talk them through like an adult, she didn't want it enough. If you decide to get back in the game at any point, foster an environment for effective communication so it doesn't get to the stage of them attacking your character happens again. Lmao cleaning up by itself doesn't make this guy whipped. She could be the one normally doing the cleaning, which would make more sense as to why he called it an "erotic video". This is reaching by assuming stuff you don't know because it fits your preconceived ideas

Calling it as it is isn't whiteknighting. Women don't need any more protection than men, they're fully capable by themselves. Lots of people DO self harm for attention, but lots don't. Why does doing it for attention make the mental state of that person any less fucked up? It's a sickness either way, only the reasoning behind it is different. Just because at one point she cut herself and is now posting it online doesn't mean that at the time it wasn't because she was in a very, very dark place. …

Good for you dude :) I agree that going straight for the incel insult isn't productive and unfairly lumps two groups together, even if there is some historical overlap also I'd be careful about that last bit, being a size queen isn't equal to not wanting an extremely small dick. Sometimes you just want average or above average dick, just like not everyone wants a phat ass just because they don't want a flat ass

That's true, it is subjective. But the thing about subjectivity is that it can change, YOU can decide those parameters. And the last thing I'll say is, after 2 suicide attempts it took 6 counsellors/therapists and 9 horrible months until I found one that clicked with me and got me to where I needed to be. I hope you find the will to try again, and good luck my guy

Freedom is self-serving. It's great, but it's only the penultimate tier. You don't ever have to get to the top rung, but Maslow thought it would be a good idea and everyone else seems to like the rest of the triangle. If you don't get why a philosophy (MGTOW) about living your own life for yourself, isn't anything to do with self-transcendence, I don't think you entirely understand what it means

MGTOW is literally entirely self-centered. Nothing to do with transcending the self, only transcending the system you thought your way into. Don't replace one belief system with another and think you suddenly cracked the code to satisfaction on your deathbed

Why is OP angry? The comment is spot on. It's a sexist cartoon. Doesn't matter whether a woman said it or not, it's bullshit either way. On top of that, Shimshi is a gender neutral name and their avi is literally corn or some shit for fucks sake

You missed the top rung, but I can't blame you since everybody does. Maslow described it as self-transcendence, finding something greater than yourself to pledge your life to furthering. Anything from science to art to your children, if you can find a cause you should.

Do both. Dunno if you ever bothered to really push it when you started lifting (some people ease in, no digs), but when I started and really tried hard I'd get the exhaustion brain-fog too. It's just your body being unconditioned at a task. Don't be lazy and skip cardio, you'll get better at it just like you did lifting and your long term health will thank you for it. If you're a male with a western diet, your cardiovascular health might add a couple years of life if you don't skip it too

There's nothing weak or unmanly about realising you have to have the balls to admit you need help. A willingness to continue, even if it means expressing temporary weakness, is true strength. The urge to give up in the face of adversity is weakness masquerading as strength. "I decide when I go" is well and good until you realise you could have decided to go later and do more good while you were around. Open up, friend. Talk to someone. THAT takes strength and pride. also, chiropractor maybe?

Your problem was in your wording man. You're trying to suppress, which is the application of force. You have to try and find a way to subvert the feelings, not push them down. You wanna stop a river flowing in a certain direction? Dam it up and eventually it'll overflow or burst. You have to change the course of the river for any kind of long term solution. Find the joy in the company of yourself. Watch films and read books that interest you and make you think, go out by yourself and don't feel …

Letting yourself be consumed so completely by anything is usually a bad idea. Just because you feel strongly about that special someone doesn't mean becoming obsessive is any more "normal" or healthy than developing an obsession with literally anything else. The only difference is this kind can fade on it's own but other less sex-related things (e.g. gambling) require learned patterns of repeated behaviour.

Don't be fooled into thinking it's just brainwashing. The hunter learns to love the hunt because of experience, because of the rush and the promise of reward if he succeeds. This phenomenon is gender neutral. Men are expected to survive alone more and so feel it more keenly. Not because it happens more to us because we're men. Ugly people always get the ugliest treatment, that's how monkey brains work

Women have been supporting each other in a somewhat healthy way for how long and now just because men are starting to open up about their emotions, they can't handle it? Maybe identifying that men feel more comfortable talking to women about their emotions than other men is more a useful datapoint than just complaining about it.

LMAO whipped to a toxic degree after 5 months. If he allowed himself to be essentially bullied out of a 20 year friendship because of some girl he got engaged to in 2 months, he either didn't like you anyway, is a coward, or so desperately needs to feel loved that he'll let someone he barely knows walk all over him like that and is a somewhat broken human being because of it. Ask her if she was joking or not. I'd personally take a lot of offence if my wife didn't say me, because I'm her husband. Unless there's a reason, like things aren't going 100% great, then that's not a very nice thing to say offhand while offering no explanation as to why. Talk about it with her. Calmly, and with some mindset to listen and understand her point of view without getting dragged into any potential bullshit.

Fucking AWFUL behaviour to emotionally distance yourself for THAT LONG before doing it over a text like a coward. If anyone EVER pulls this shit to anyone reading this, call them out immediately for not saying anything to try and resolve the issue(s) before letting them build to an unfix-able stage. Sorry to hear what happened OP, your ex sounds like a royal-class asshat. Hopefully she gets whatever karmic justice she deserves. This isn't just women. People think University makes them a more rounded individual usually because of the exposure to a variety of things you would generally never see clustered so closely together like on a uni campus. Education is great too, but lectures don't mean shit unless the individual applies themselves to learning and using what they learned in some way. I don't understand this. Maybe this is because I was always a lonely person by nature, but I never grew up under the illusion that anyone cared about me past my immediate family. Some people don't even have that, but the phenomenon of "I'm never the friend that gets messages" wasn't a soul crushing revelation. I'm surprised to keep seeing stuff like this tbh, everyone is out for themselves and maybe one or two other people, tops. How often do you think about a friend/relative in any given day? P…

"This is your nature" fuck right off. My nature is whatever the hell I want it to be. Maybe the only reason I have an idea at all that this stereotypical shit is "supposed" to be my nature is because it's been shoved down my throat in media since I was old enough to pay attention to a screen. It's hard to argue moral absolutism when it is just confined to mostly one on one relationships. Call me naive, but I have some faith that people can be smart enough to figure out what works. The smart ones, at the very least. Jut remember that historically the people who (thought) they were at the top almost always thought the pleb masses were dumb and slowly eroding the good in society with their lazy, sinful ways. This line of thinking doesn't seem to have changed much.

I'd recommend considering that most reasonable people probably wouldn't find this kind of behaviour "disgusting". Something they wouldn't do? Sure. Something they don't necessarily approve of? Maybe. But fixating on what other people do in the privacy of their bedrooms is nothing short of strange.

To actively avoid dating single mothers because of the financial danger/repercussions? Fair enough. Avoiding it because of some weird notion that you shouldn't be taking care of another man's children? Pretty fucked up if you ask me. Smacks of thinking of children as anything other than just that; children. Reminds me of the kind of people that would never date a woman that's had sexual partners before because she's "used up". Distorted thinking leads to distorted conclusions.

To be fair, this is slowly going the other way. I remember in my first year of uni doing a biomed undergrad, we has to take a "diversity workshop" where we just got talked at about the disparity of demographics in science, that STEM fields are usually male-dominated. We had a class of 36. There were 6 men present. I was one of them. Didn't actually notice until the teacher pointed it out; I was quite surprised I hadn't clocked it. I guess I can see what you mean. I usually don't think of the concept of having kids or an emotional connection with someone to be a power thing.
