-2	Should DNA testing be mandatory at birth If you accept the premise that the child has a right to privacy and to the product of their own body, then it doesn't really matter whether they have the right to be raised by someone else or not. That doesn't give one the right to violate the child's rights. We should try to get them where we can. Maybe it's insignificant to you, but to some people it matters at least a little. Those conservative states can only make it harder to access or put limits on the second trimester IIRC. At least that's how it used to be.
