If you look at the data for men going back to 2000 source, the employment rate was around 82%, which is still only around a 7-8% reduction in the past 20 years, still wildly off from 33%. Secondly, even if you look at only data from 2012-2019 for women, you go from 23-20%, which is a 13% reduction. | 5 | How to Lie with Graphs.I mean in this survey anything that produced money was considered work, but I think it’s telling that the skills we attribute and prescribe women to do are much less lucrative than the ones prescribed to men. The fact that women are leaving the workforce disproportionally faster is a big deal imo. I do agree that graphs should generally start their axes at 0, though that sometimes isn’t that case (such as when there is a small, but statistically significant change in a large number, putting the axis at 0 can actually remove any useful information from the graph). The ‘couple’ (again, they are separated) did not sue anyone, and the state only contacted the sperm donor because he violated Kansas law by giving someone sperm off of craigslist.
