To be slightly fair, the idea of women taking the lead in relationship stuff is still generally heavily negatively reinforced.

The Movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind really taught me that no relationship is a "total waste of time". That is as long as you take away something from that relationship. Whether that be learning something about how your behavior affects other people or even learning more about what your own expectations are in a relationship and how to ID those needs.

America is basically #1 in the sports it "cares" about. So Baseball and Basketball, but not hockey or soccer. Football dosn't count because there are no world comps for it, but since it is so popular in America it sucks large talent away from other sports.

Are we using the Bible to determine how to mete out justice? If so, get fucked. Full stop. The one thing I wish we still used the Biblical justice for would be false prophets Deuteronomy 18 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who presumes to spea…

If that was the goal, prisons would be a stupid idea and we should have really kept executions. That is what I respond with when they talk about ex-cons who are now politicians or some other public facing thing. Like they did their assigned "retribution to society". If that isn't enough punishment then what is the whole point of prison? also in some parts of the US they totally still love to try to publicly kill people.

In the EU they are less likely to just look the other way over drugs in prison like they do in the US(because drugs keep them relatively docile)

GOP = Wall Street Dems = Wall Street + pride flag. I mean that is reductive and not really true. But at the same time, it is kinda true....

I recommend to all my male friends - after a one night stand, even if you think she is a disgusting witch, keep texting her until she agrees to come round again. That didn't save Paul Nungesser

As opposed to the right who will do and say anything to gain control of your bank account?

everyone on welfare has to be sterilized at least temporarily while on welfare. a) go figure out how to actually accomplish this safely and realistically first. Because the first time you irreversibly sterilize somebody.... b) you realize most people "on welfare" are technically children right? I mean this just sounds like a lot of the "welfare queen" boogeyman shit. My father was injured when I was a baby and lost his job. We were on welfare/food stamps for several years while my mom worked a c…

I would 100% be for tax dollars being available for proper safe abortions for people who need it. It is called small upfront mitigating costs. Because lets be real here...that means less taxpayers funding healthcare, schools, food services, and even prisons. Because abortions typically happen to women whom are not ready for a baby and put a stress on the rest of the system.

Quddich was made to have Harry be the hero. That is the only sense you need. Remove the entire stupid Seeker and add a proper time limit and it might actually be a decent sport. But of course then it wouldn't be properly "quirky" then.

I will not sit here and say I am an expert on the mental health issues that lead to suicide. In fact the only real thing I do know is that "fun" little fact I just posted(attempts vs actual). But I would gather most actual experts would rebuke your assessment.

James Damore he got in trouble for more than just talking about women, he tilted against the race issue simultaneously.

well no fucking shit. It is because a particular person whom they may not actually like won the election because a lot of people had that sentiment.

A lot of the disparity is also down to the ways men and women attempt suicide. Women tend to use blades and pills. Men tend to jump off/in front of things or use guns. One set of those things tend to be a lot more effective than the other.
/r/MensRights04/01/18 06:04 PM

Women and men actually ATTEMPT suicide at roughly the same rate. Men are just better at actually doing it(because they use better methods). So there is that.

that is a nice sentiment. But in our current political system being one is essentially being the other by proxy(in swing states like mine at least).

The big name stars in Hollywood actually make their money off % box office gross now. So they take a base pay during shooting then the gross(like ~6%) That is how RDJ is insanely rich now.

I don't think that sub is nearly as bad as people make it out to be. That said if half the shit on there was as bad as it sounds, why wouldn't you have just left??? Muliple reasons. I mean even from first hand experience watching my cousin go through an on and off abusive relationship...They just don't know what a "good" relationship is supposed to be like. Her mom is fucked(her bio parents divorced when young) and she never had a stable home life. Constant new boyfriends, arguments, and everyth…

Not to make this about our current economy or anything, but that is why sucking up all the wealth into the top .1% is also a REALLY bad idea! If you give lots of people a good amount of money there will be lots of risk takes and lots of people out there generating new ideas and innovations. When those risks fail it won't have a major impact on the economy, and when they hit big it will be a HUGE boom! If you pool 50% of the wealth into a tiny fraction of the population suddenly risk taking creep…

a) Hilarious you would pay to background check a 16 YO child and/or their parents. Do you know how b) "SMS track"? Do you know anything about geo-locating phones?

A background check will yeah. But at least your date at the bar or your future kids friends parents won't be going out to hire background checks is the point.
