Socialism is humanistic. Categories like "masculine" and "feminine" are highly contested and contestable in class society. I am very curious why you consider socialism -- and by extension, the desire for social justice -- to be "feminine." One would hope that the desire for social justice transcends these categories. E.g., in Django Unchained, my subjective interpretation of Django is not seeing him as a feminine character, but as a masculine character intent on fighting against oppression and e…

My comment is based not just on your singular comment but also on an observation of a general trend among some guys, namely this bizarre juxtaposition of masculinity with politically-loaded categories like "wokeness" and "canceling." Hint: if you feel like your masculinity is under attack (or threatened or affected -- whatever verb won't cause you to fixate on just that verb) by "woke culture" (which is rarely defined robustly by these guys) the problem might just lie in your impoverished concep…

If your not muscles, educated, rich tall , dark and handsome a guy has no chance. There are billions of women on the planet; this reductionism is a bit silly.

"...three of the book's main contributors (Karel Bartosek, Jean-Louis Margolin, and Nicolas Werth)[6] publicly disassociated themselves from Courtois' statements in the introduction and criticized his editorial conduct.[35] Margolin and Werth felt that Courtois was "obsessed" with arriving at a total of 100 million killed, which resulted in "sloppy and biased scholarship",[38] faulted him for exaggerating death tolls in specific countries,[6][39]: 194 [40]: 123 and rejected the comparison betwee…

Lmao, the fraudulent claim used to be 100 million, now you're raising to 150 million, next you'll say a billion dead 😂

The lives of the vast majority of Cubans improved significantly after socialist revolution. "Most of the world doesn't let them come to power" -- in actuality, much of the Third World struggled for socialist revolution while U.S. and Western European capitalists used the most violent, vicious means imaginable to ensure neo-colonial, rather than socialist, relations of production. You think Elon Musk is profiting off Glencore's Congolese child slaves because the Congolese people enjoy being explo…

Yeah you're exaggerating, you're taking one example and extrapolating it to all of the women in one of the world's largest cities. If your confidence was shattered years ago, that's on you to build back up.

Visualization is one tactic that can help, but to really address this challenge you need to go deeper. If you hate yourself and have a lack of confidence, this is a psychological issue likely arising from cognitive distortions (certain patterns of thinking that skew one's perception) that convince you that you are not as awesome as you actually are -- and I can assure you that you are significantly more amazing than what your distorted thinking has led you to believe. Self-esteem and positive se…

Your conceptions of "masculine" and "feminine" are the product of patriarchal brainwashing. So is this notion that men and women should be a certain way. That's the patriarchal bullshit. Trying to paint your viewpoint as reflecting our "true nature" runs into problems once one considers the body of knowledge on human nature uncovered by anthropology and related disciplines.

Yep, well said. More guys need to understand this. The cure isn't becoming "alpha" (whatever the fuck that means) or adopting a perverted form of masculinity. That's just a distraction from the REAL value you as a human being can add to the world.

The feminine is submissive? That's some patriarchal bullshit right there. Free your sense of self a bit.

In my view, speaking as someone with a penis, the so-called "edginess" is going to come from an internal sense of who you are and what you want to do in your time on earth, and why. There needs to be a fire inside. Tattoos, piercings, etc. don't inherently give an edge. Edit to add: yeah, being a risk-taker helps.

I prefer self-confident women who don't have a hyper-patriarchal view of "feminine" and "masculine." To each their own.

I don't know how deep this relationship was, but if I were you I would communicate transparently with her what's on your mind/in your heart. Then you'll know where you stand, and can make decisions from there. Edit to add: being vulnerable with someone, esp someone you've already formed a relationship with, is a sign of strength and confidence, not submissiveness.
