People look down on trades because many people come from countries where there is very little to/no demand for labour. I think in the Talmud, the Rabbis make fun of a farmer who is making wine. They ask him, why do you make wine when you can sell it and make more money? That's why you see that Jews hate labour work, as they prefer that the shaygetz Goyim do that and they sell it.

You don't know what slavery is lol. Slavery is a legal distinction that discriminates against an individual for whatever reason/reasons. Cattle slavery isn't the only type of slavery. For example, the Chinese and Turkish Eunuchs were "slaves" but they held power comparable to the King and Emperors as advisors.

Happiness has nothing to do with technological advancement. African tribes experience more happiness in 1 day than you will the entire year.
