I am sorry if you feel antagonized by feminists. Do you have any personal concerns regarding the current state of mens rights? Or are you simply frustrated by feminist beliefs? If it is the latter then I believe you have not yet achieved a critical perspective of society.

No. The word "feminism" seems to drive people away because of the root of the word being unfavorable. Perhaps these people avoid/abandon egalitarian ideology as well.

Feminism is most associated with women's rights however it is egalitarianism at its core. MRA and such is redundant as feminism covers all of the major mens rights concerns. You will just have to forgive the word, that really is what divides people if you ask me.

Freedom is relative. 1- Freedom to sexually harass. 2- Freedom of not being sexually harassed.

This is both a poor response to OP's question and an effort to bastardize an intelligent observation of society.

The First Amendment protects the freedom of the press, thus anyone may disseminate information about anyone - true or false. Neither the rapists nor the victim have any actual right to privacy, its up to society and the media to decide what information to brandish.

Neither has a choice to be anonymous, its all about ethics. The victim suffered a crime and the family requests peace from media. The media have the choice of exposing the victim or allowing them to remain largely anonymous. As for the second question, in rape trials that end up with no sentencing (regardless of poor evidence or false accusations), media attention dies out by then or doesn't exist at all. High attention rape cases only come to higher attention if a trial is extended. In the case…

Are you suggesting the victims life wasn't ruined? The family of the victim asks the media not to harass the victim because people would look into the person and blame them for the rape. The defendants also have the choice to avoid media, however they cling to it to find community support - as such is the case in the Ohio rape trial. Edit: Not only is she a victim of rape and having images of herself naked circulated among the rapists friends, she is also a victim of slut-shaming and death threa…

Ok look I am not trying to battle you on the issue of DV. You have pushed the subject far enough. I agree that both men and women are abusive physically towards each other, I agree that abuse towards men is pictured as less severe, and I demand that we both agree that feminists advocate an end to all DV, not just male vs. female. As for how the law treats domestic violence, it is treated evenly in most cases and is only not treated evenly when the authorities are sexist and expect it to be impos…

It is a puff piece that offers no compelling evidence. This is a matter of opinion and you can disregard what I am saying if you want. The point is that Straus is like a modern day Kellogg; drawing unfounded conclusions. I've stated it several times already, I am not going to accept him as a source, might as well link me to an MRA blog to prove some of your points. The only piece you have provided that I am interested in discerning is the article on Swedish universities. That so far looks like m…

You have only sourced claims of falsified data on domestic violence. After all, a lot of undocumented DV stems from misogyny. Men feel uncomfortable reporting abuse from females because they will be emasculated by their peers and the authorities. They will be compared to acting like a woman for crying out about being raped or struck by a woman. These men end up being victims of their own system. Simply because we don't want to be told that we are acting like a bitch or being a pussy we can't com…

I believe conclusively no group should be fighting over who abuses who more, men may be more physically destructive and women may be more emotionally destructive through relational aggression. Recent research does point out that domestic violence is even on both sides, but we shouldn't attack either gender on the topic. Violence and abuse after all is a crime and should not be used as a gauge for which movement is more righteous. After all, the women who abuse their partners are not feminists, a…

I don't understand what your last source from that guy is attempting to argue. He begins by claiming that feminists make an effort to stop violence against females, which is true. Then he provides us with this statement: 3.7% of all murders of men are by intimate partners, whereas 33.5% of murders of women were by intimate partners. He proceeds to acknowledge Here we are informed that male victims constitute 74.5% of all victims of homicide, with both male and female perpetrators being more like…

You seem to be full of hatred. Furthermore I don't know how to tell you this without expecting rebuttal, but you provide terrible sources.

I don't agree with you, your description of feminism is ultimately unfounded and brought on by a misleading guise. You are claiming the feminist movement is an attempt at propagating superiority in women on the premise that they require it after centuries of being below us. The feminist movement is about making society aware of social issues that oppress them as a whole. MRA's problem isn't the feminist movement, it is the idea that female (or at least most) feminists attempt to place more aware…

=/ You're like a broken record player mate. Shame tactics? Is there a post here somewhere, a sticky that dictates guidelines on how to defend one's self from logic and reason? Please link me, I fear the militant feminists are attempting to cloud my mind with their "Victorian" conspiracies. I don't know how long and how hard you've had to work on it, but I too don't believe women deserve any special treatment or extra care when speaking to them. If I must be stern, I am not afraid to speak to her…

I am not shaming, if you feel ashamed that's on you, I'm sorry for having opened your eyes if anything. It just sucks having to defend my own gender to my girlfriend when the near entirety of reddit proves me otherwise. Help me out and stay out of a subreddit you have no business in. If you do not wish to partake in equality then go ahead and sub to some other beautiful subreddits. There is /r/beatingwomen , /r/RapingWomen , /r/ChokeABitch , and don't forget /r/KillingWomen . Godspeed and may yo…

What is equivalent misandry to calling a man a bitch? I hope you don't think I'm white knighting, in fact I use the term bitch frequently - mostly to replace the word "complaining." I am simply trying to show that there is no defense to using the word without displaying or implying its misogynistic connotations. And to answer my own question, I would think "dick" would be the opposite of a bitch, implying that it is masculine to be cruel or unfavorable. Would you say "dick" and "bitch" carry the…

I'm sorry but you're drawing blanks and haven't proved any point whatsoever. Your point does not stand because you have provided no anecdote but rather an unfounded accusation against feminists. It also seems that you are describing female feminists in particular. So in conclusion, this is a direct display of misogyny. Do you feel proud? I don't understand if you're trying to defend us men, or attack those distressed women. Personally I don't feel empowered committing ad feminam, it just makes u…

Are you seriously giving me fodder? The whole point of saying that is to relate them to women, claiming they are not playing with enough gusto or bravado and not "having the balls" to push through the defense. It refers to the playstyle of the WNBA where there is way less contact. More often however is using bitch to emasculate people. Just search "bitchy" and "nba" together on google and check out the things you get on twitter: So tired of these bitchy NBA players complaining. I get it...you we…

IT IS gendered. If you say a man is being a bitch or is bitching, you're saying they act a certain way that is akin to the way a woman may act. The term bitch carries misogynistic accusations, and if you are an MRA and believe in equality then you would understand that.

Here is the report: link Here is her face for reference: link TL;DR: Chris gets a text from a girl, Rihanna gets pissed, they yell at each other, Chris stops the car and tries to push her out of the car. He couldn't get her out, so he slams her face against the window, leaving her with a welt on her head. Then he punches her in the face, specifically her eye. Then he begins driving while he continues punching her in the face. She then begins spitting up blood as he threatens to "beat the shit ou…

I have read the police report and what he did was brutal. Of course we don't know the extent of the abuse he may have received from Rihanna but that doesn't mean it warranted a response which involved beating her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
