i think a feminist would argue that patriarchy is the system that society uses to divide us up. gives us roles. says you are male, you are female, act accordingly. and i can say that part i would agree with. as a male i've felt uncomfortable with my feminine qualities for my entire life. society definitely pushes a preconceived notion on what it is to be a man, i saw it growing up in movies, media, etc. just like it portrays women in some preconceived box. it would be nice if we could just shirk…

i don't think the first lady as any power in regards to political positioning, or foreign influence, etc.. i mean, when it comes to pet projects she can get funding, and she may be able to influence his thinking on certain subjects, i.e. gay marriage, or other moral issues. but i also don't really feel like the president has all that much power of his own.

if you need self improvement stuff, go read Emerson's Self-Reliance, or Thoreau, or Ben Franklin's autobiography. you don't need Red Pill to access some of the positive aspects they espouse, they can be easily accessed from more respectable channels.

i refuse to subscribe to red pill belief because the people who are connected with that sub are not people i want to be associated with. yes there may be some valid points they make about some dynamics, but i can address those ideas in a manner separate from red pill thought. i choose to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I know we're having a pro-TRP karma train which is terrible in a thread hoping to dissociate /r/MensRights from /r/TheRedPill ... it definitely doesn't make it any easier to argue that this sub should be in no way affiliated with TRPers if you can just come to this thread and see all the upvotes that obvious red pillers are getting... jeez

have you read /r/TheRedPill? like just gone into threads and read the comments? at first glance it may not seem too bad, then you start to see the veiled misogyny rear its ugly head pretty quickly. a lot of them are clearly pretty skilled rhetoricians, but when you dissect what they are wrapping in fancy words, its really just pretty gross misconceptions of women as a whole, and any association with their group is a negative on men's rights.
