I'm not sure bankruptcy would affect the court proceedings; I actually filed bankruptcy in my situation which was in the state of Nevada and no mercy was granted in my case. I would research and file an emergency motion to delay until you can figure this out.

Same thing happened to me, I was accused of quitting my job purposely and they used presumed income for there calculations and I don't make anywhere near the presumed income.

1 night stand was the biggest mistake of my entire life. Nevada None custodial parent 65k a year Disabled veteran Monthly child support obligation is 1040 I cover day care and insurance as well. She moved out of state while I was deployed and is now happily getting married, I've never physically seen the kid once and he's now 4. The good thing is that the judge did not approve her request to backdate arrears, they only went back 6 months by the way is anyone familiar with TANF cases?
