My mother told me the other day she became very depressed after I was born because she no longer had the life she had before aka party girl life style. My response was along the lines "wouldn't you expect it to take up a lot of time to raise a child." She rationalized by saying I could not understand as I have not had kids and wouldn't hear anymore of it.
